12th April 2012 Cheryl Walker | The unit was very spacious and quiet. with a good view over the river..close to 7/11. lovely evening meal on the balcony overlooking the river and Rama bridge. nice pool. had to pay extra for extras like tennis and squash.
had to ask for saucepan, no toaster.
reception were friendly as was the bellboys.. the location is well away from the temples and Grand Palace but we just wanted to rest for the last 2 days of our holiday. | 9/10 |
3rd April 2012 Nigel Robert Taylor | Not a central location city-centre location, although we knew this and it was reflected in the4 price. Excellent room facilities, friendly helpful staff and nice restaurant within the hotel. | 7/10 |
1st December 2011 Felicity Dalton | The deluxe studio was comfortable and suited our needs as one adult and two children, though one child had to sleep on the sofa cushions on the floor, and extra blanket and pillow were provided on request. Marvellous view of river and bridge and otherwise a good location for us, away from the busy city but still accessible to a food court, 7/11 store, Thai massages and taxis out the front. Staff not very helpful or friendly was the main drawback, as was the location and coldness of pool. | 5.8/10 |
6th November 2011 Yell Suwanyangyaun | Good room with various facility. Parking space is very limited. No shopping or entertainment place around the area. Convenience transportation with BRT. Room is not new but not too old. | 7/10 |
25th April 2011 IAN HAMILTON SPENCER | We enjoyed our stay at the Riverfront Residence. The staff are friendly and the room, for the price I paid was excellent. There was plenty of living space and a nice view of the river;- especially at night. There is a cooker and microwave in the kitchen area of the apartment, lots of tables and furniture and it is what it says - your home from home. We didn t use the facilities of the Residence as we was out most of the time so we cannot comment on that. The location is away from all the hustle and bustle of Bangkok so it is a little isolated. There are shuttles that take you to the shopping complexes but we found taxis just as good;- 120 baht to Wat Po (Wat Arun) or 80 baht to the central pier. Advice - take a printout of the directions or take the residence card for the taxi drivers for your return otherwise it could be fun!!. Overall a very good stay and would stay again Ian & Pairorh | 9.25/10 |
30th August 2010 BILAL NASRULLAH | THIS HOTEL IS IN A GROUP HIGH RISE BUILDINGS. ORIGINALLY DESIGNED AS CONDOS, ALL ROOMS HAVE COOKING FACILITIES. ALL THE ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS AND WELL MAINTAINED. FOOD IS GOOD. ABOUT 15 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN BANKOK
TAXIS ARE ABOUT 150 BAHT. CONCIERGE WILL GET FOR YOU. EVERY DAY THE HOTEL OFFERS FREE SHUTTLE SERVICES TO VARIOUS PLACES. THE VIEW OF THE RIVER [MAI NAM CHAO PRIYA][KING S RIVER] ARE EXCELLENT. ONE OF THE BEST PLACES I HAVE STAYED IN BANGKOK. HOTEL HAS SWIMMING POOL AND TENNIS COURTS.
HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. I WILL STAY AGAIN NEXT YEAR. | 9.4/10 |
4th April 2010 Uffe Lundgren | Very nice room-apartments. Not in the absolute center of Bangkok but good communications with buses or taxi. Local center and markets with song thaow in just a 5 minutes ride. | 7.6/10 |
13th March 2010 Elisha Amadi | i really liked the place. kept clean, the staff were good, provided a baby cot with no extra charge. i had difficulty withdrawing from nearby ATMs. location is a little far from civilisation, but the free shuttle bus takes care of that. good facilities. | 7/10 |
18th January 2010 CHIKAKO TSUKADA | very clean and comfortable room. | 7.6/10 |
24th November 2009 Anong Lane | The Hotel was an excellent place to stay. Although a little out of the way, it was easy to get to different parts of town. | 9.4/10 |
20th August 2009 DUVAL Laurent | Nice people.
Good comfort.Quiet and clean.
Location map on the site might be more complete and printable larger and with
thai explaination for first taxi to come here.
The free suttle service is indispensable
but well managed.
I recommend this address. | 8.2/10 |
25th March 2009 Magnusson Monica | The Riverfront is a good place to stay, It has a very nice view, we stayed on floor 23 in a deluxe 2 beedroom and its very clean nice and big enought for a family or 5 persons, personal is friendly and helpful. Hotel has free bus to supermarket and also to Chongnonsi(skytrain)acording schedule.has kitchenette, silverware and micro, but not pots or pans. Price is overal good, breakfast buffet a bit boring, but ok. All positive, the only negative is that it is not close to shopping areas, so you have to take a taxi (make sure taxi meter is on before you board it) to get to shopping areas, about 100-200 bath a trip.
A GOOD TIP FOR YOU IN BANGKOK, DO NOT trust tuk tuk around shopping centers, they take you cheap to other shopping center but is just cheating, they have an agreement with Gems Silk and Jewerelly. Have a nice trip.
5th November 2008 Tom Grove-Knutsen | Stayed 6 enjoyable days at the Riverfront. Great room with kitchenette and saparate bedroom and a balcony with riverview for the evening night drink. Absolutely no traffic noise. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff and a great in-house restarant. Location is generally not known to the Taxi drivers, make sure you have driving directions in Thai for the Taxi home. Hotel has a shuttle service to Chong Nonsi BTS station, approx 30 minutes drive. We did not use the service.
3rd October 2008 Brian N Hoegsberg | Overall we had a very good experience at the Riverfront Residence. The service was outstanding, particularly from the staff at the front desk. The facilities were good, room was also good to very good (Deluxe 2 bedroom), and the workout room was fantastic (equipment was new). We agree with other reviewers that the hotel was out of the way - although taxis were easy to obtain, the drives to/from town were long. We would definitely stay at the Riverfront again, despite the location.
20th September 2008 Mark Francis Loughland | Room was fantastic with kitchen. Staff very friendly. Great food and service. View of working harbour. Not in shopping districts, but, shuttle bus resolved this.We were looking to rest not shop
9th September 2008 Rebecca Gilroy | fabulous apartment room, helpful staff and excellant breakfast.
10th August 2008 David John Bourner | This hotel is a little off the beaten track, based close to the Chak Prao river in the Old Town district of the city. It is a long term stay residence style of accommodation. Rooms were pleasant and spacious.
What is particularly annoying, having stayed in other hotels, is the high priced rates for internet usage. Wireless internet is accessible in certain areas of the hotel alone.
30th June 2008 Douglas Binnie | Goog hotel, a bit out from town but okay, good breakfast and clean, asked for non-smoking and room smelt of cigarettes.....
9th November 2007 Lars Lindbergh | Well worth the money even considering
a very poor breakfast and far off location. Friendly, clean and comfortable rooms and what the ## the taxi drivers need to do some money too...
30th September 2007 Alain DESCRIERES | Excellent value for money. Appartments are spacious and well designed; staff very helpful.
Rsidence is a bit out of the way and the sign is not clearly visible from themain road so it can be a problem for some taxi drivers.
We will definitely return to Riverfront next year.
