23rd February 2011 Craig | We were originally booked for Luxx, but the room they offered wasn t so hot (smelly, doors to bathroom stuck shut), and overall the place was looking a little worn. They moved us to the Luxx XL which turned out to be much better- excellent in fact. | 7.8/10 |
13th August 2009 Ayaz Khan | great cozy place,superb service.quieter area than sukumvit if u like that | 8.8/10 |

Propre, calme Super!
4th February 2008 John Bakker and Helen Bakker | The Staff at the Luxx were so helpful, courteous and efficent and spoke English well. We couldn t speak more highly of them. Location of the hotel was good, 10 min walk to skytrain and Selom Road just around the corner. Compact Double room comfortable, firm bed no backache.
Delicious scrambled eggs. Breakfast served in room. No view from Hotel and no lift but the rest all good. Stayed 9 nights in Feb 2008.

19th September 2007 katarena | Rooms were a bit more tired than what the pictures suggested however everything was very clean & modern with helpful staff. I would have liked to have been closer to MBK & CentralWorld for shopping but it s central to the Silom Rd area & not far from the river & other attractions by tuk tuk/cab. I think the value is pretty good looking at the cost of other similar standards of accomodation.
27th June 2007 Kerrie | Nice rooms, just as what you ll see from their websites. The beds were abit hard though. And its not entirely sound-proofed from the small road outside so you ll hear the occassional motor vehicles zoom by. We wanted to book a compact S, but was offered the compact L instead cause it was fully booked. But looking back at the website, I just realised we got upgraded to a studio instead! Nice bathtub and the walls can be opened too. But i had trouble closing it back! There were gaps in between so I felt kinda cold while showering.
Walkable distance (15-20mins)to the river pier. The breakfast was good and on time! And they didn t rush us to check out, by the time we checked out, it was around 130pm. I also liked the fact that we could borrow magazines, travel guides and DVDs from the lobby area.
Overall a very nice place to stay!
1st June 2007 Allen Gebhardt | This was my first time in Bangkok and the Luxx was my first hotel there. I really came to like it after I had adjusted a bit. One of the best parts of this little boutique hotel is their breakfasts. Nice coffee and pastries and eggs. Do be warned that this hotel has no elevator. They will carry up your bags for you, but it would not be a good place for someone who has trouble with stairs. The rooms are cute and the bed nice. The bathtub being a wooden cask is better in theory than in practice. I liked the intimate feel of the place. You quickly get to know the front desk people. No big corporate feeling here. If you want everything perfect, this may not be the place for you but for me, I think they do a good job and I liked the personal feel to the place. It is half a block off Silom Road, which is a good location. You are about three blocks from the skytrain which is very helpful. You can walk down Silom to the river which takes about 20 to 30 min. There are usually cabs all over the place too. My suggestion with respect to cabs is make sure they agree to turn on their meter before you get in, otherwise you may find yourself in negotiations for the fair to your destination. The good part is that even if you are overcharged, it will probably mean you paid something like $3 US extra. In short, do relax and enjoy. I would definitely stay at the Luxx again.
9th May 2007 Samuel Soulek | Sweet little modern place with great service. The folks running the front desk were so helpful and kind. They let us check out at 2pm our last day and even let us into an unused room later that night to shower before we jumped on our plane to come back home.
It is very small and quiet with no outdoor space to speak of, but it was a nice place to escape from the sweaty streets of Bangkok.
It s about 5-10 minute walk to the skytrain which was fine.
Great place for the money imo!
9th February 2007 Seema Pandey | This was a great boutique hotel in a great location of Bangkok. The room was a bit small, but that did not matter since it was so nice and ultra modern. The bed was great, the bathroom was very swanky and the place was very clean. The staff was very nice as well. I would stay here again if I return to Bangkok. I think next time I may even upgrade to one of the larger rooms. This hotel was like a miniature version of the swanky W Hotel chain that are in the USA and other world class cities. Very nice place.
