30th March 2012 Jaruwan Collie | there was no tea or coffee supplied, we were charged for a bottle of water for 150 baht because the bottle was supposedly opened by one of us & consume only a sip of water, then we put the top back on apparently & refit the lid, why would any normal person due this.
it is a slur on our honesty that we were not believed, why would we not drink the whole lot
the front desk area man who we discussed this issue with ( an elderly man with a wig on his head ) would not believe us - he is bad business for you & his manner is the worse i have ever experienced in Thailand
these comments are written by Gary Collie - Jaruwan s husband
Jaruwan has lived in Australia for 20 years now & was very embarrassed by this experience
if you want to operate your Hotel like a star rating 1 keep going you will get there
Ratsak who greets everyone is exceptional as are the young people you employ there at the service desk - older management - been there too long
Gary Collie | 4.2/10 |
9th March 2012 Ciattaglia | if you arrive early (for example because the airplane was in advance respect to the schedule)may be you would hope to have the room at least not after 2 hours. This is not the case of htl Montien. | 6/10 |
2nd January 2012 Traveller | the baddest hotel I know in bangkok, very old rooms, bad service , and You have to pay fee with visitors ! | 4.4/10 |
28th April 2011 Nguyen Thi Trang | Good, I think that I will back to tralvel with my family soon. And Montien is the first option. I love the breakfirst in Montien. | 6/10 |
4th October 2010 John Philip Buscemi | I have stayed at the Montein Hotel on many occasions going back to the year 2000. I have always found my stays to be enjoyable and supported by the excellent staff a the Montien. | 10/10 |
8th April 2010 SEIKO NAITO | I like this hotel due to its location. It s easy access to Arima Onsen for massage, which is popular among the Japanese travellers. I always go to Silom Compalex for my hair set, which is also close from the hotel.
The hotel s door boys and the front people are very friendly, which is one of my reasons to stay this hotel.
The room is not gorgeous but all right for the accommodation fee. | 7/10 |
23rd January 2010 CHAN Wing Kin Michael | The location of the hotel is good, and it is so clean unexpectedly. The beverage is so good. Only the efficiency check-in/out counter is a little bit low. | 7.6/10 |
7th November 2009 Trevor W Harper | I arrived at the Hotel, my room was fine until I needed to use trhe sink in the bathroom, the sink began to oveflow with waterand sediment of which I reported the managament, they inturn provided me with another room which was great, untill we came to use trhe showers, the water was very brown as like a rust type sedement this was evident in the water at the sink and toilet.I consider when I pay good moeney I expect to have a facility of which I consider hygenic and healthy. On reflextion I decided to terminate my stay at Montien for these reasons after the first night accommodation. yes I had to forfeit my further 2 nights as I was not offered a refund by ther management , how ever we consider our health more important than money, especially with the present world health situation.
I how ever always found www.reservation-hotel-thailande.com as being very good as I have used there serrvices for a number of years now and will continue to do so .Hopefull better inspections of some the facilities are made for future visitors especially plumbing ,water and those items relevant to health and safety. | 6/10 |
10th October 2009 Lasse | The best. | 10/10 |
22nd August 2009 Anna Glemmefors | A very nice hotel. And the staff where just wonderful and very helpful. We would for sure go back to this hotel. | 6.8/10 |
16th July 2009 BRUK ANDREY | The hotel is located in very convenient place. Near to hotel it is a lot of clubs, bars, restaurants also there is a metro station. The hotel personnel very affable, always smile, even at 3 o clock in the morning and are ready to help you.
Inside Superior Room непонравилось. All furniture old, the conditioner very old years 50
The bathroom was not pleasant. Not a convenient shower. The hair dryer very become outdated to use it is necessary to hold constantly finger on the inclusion button. And it is attached to a wall by a short wire. Very inconveniently. Illumination joins very inconveniently, it is necessary to press 10 keys on the big box reminding a bedside table. Windows dirty. The blanket has not been filled in a blanket cover. Instead of a blanket cover was catch a cold. On a floor in a corridor smells as dampness and a mould. Second time I in this hotel would not stop. Full discrepancy of the price and numbers.
31st March 2009 Jan Andersson | We think it is the best hotel we ever has been on, me and my husband. The personel is so helpful and there is always a big smile. The food is so god and served so fine. The room are big and the beds are so comfortable. All is clean. There was a band playing and a very good singer, we dreeamed back to the -60´s
- svinigt dyrt i poolbaren
- för mycket upppassning vid frukosten, dom fyllde på te/kaffe hela tiden utan att fråga. stod vid bordet och hade koll på en (kändes det som)
+ trevligt frukostbord
+ trevligt vid poolen
+ ganska tyst från trafiken (5:e vån)
26th January 2009 Jean Marie NGUYEN | Very good hotel with very comfortable room and well located. Breakfast was excellent. Just one regret : they dont give a free internet access in the room.
31st December 2008 Dick Jansma | Hotel is very good situated in the Pat Pong area.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The balcony in our room om the 6th floor could not open.
The breakfastbuffet was poor, not much choises, but overall the price/quality was O.K.
11th December 2008 Leonhard isler | As usual excellent service that I can confirm as a reapeating guest since 1971!
It is a pity that Thailand is suffering so much for political reasons!
5th November 2008 Debra MITCHELL | This is the 4th or 5th time I have stayed at the Montien and as usual was not disapointed. Althouth the hotel is older it has a lot of character.Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are wonderful - very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel has a great position right opposite Patpong Road. If you want a treat while in Bangkok go to Vertigo restaurant (81st floor rooftop) at the Banyan Tree hotel - it is very expensive but worth every pennie - it blew us away. Will return to the Montien next trip to Thailand.
3rd September 2008 Kenny & Manee Lyckeskog | This it,s my absolut favorit hotell
