2nd February 2012 Christopher Spalding | Great Hotel situated between the old and new towns, rooms are large clean and in good decorative order. Reception staff very helpfull, breakfast had a good choice of western and Thai food good food reasonably priced in the restaurant for lunch and dinner menus.
Nice circular pool plenty large enough to swim in and with areas of sun and shade all day long.
Nice little Thai bar opposite is worth a visit too although I found the restaurant opposite to be not so good asthehotel and similar prices. | 7.4/10 |
31st January 2011 Huet Jean-Michel | Large hotel more than 20 years old.
Rooms are large, ckean and well decorated.
No satellite tv in the room (i mean the TV5 french channel was mising) very poor quality of the TV signal.
No internet wifi, this is mandatory for an hotel in such rate.
Breakfast is OK (based on buffet) | 5.6/10 |
20th November 2010 Pitchaya Chairojnitikorn | Infrastructure is a bit old, but the room is clean. | 7.2/10 |
21st August 2010 GUENARD | this hotel was top notch...25 years before
Hotel vieillissant et mal entretenu: A EVITER | 4.6/10 |
29th July 2010 Stephen Paterson | We were totally pleased with our 4 day stay at the Pailyn, Sukhothia. The hotel appears rather grand from the exterior, and is very close to the Historical Park. Other reviewers had commented that the hotel rooms needed a renovation. This must have occurred, as our room, a triple deluxe, very reasonably priced, had been completely painted, the furniture was new, the beds comfortable, the bathroom clean and also renovated. After a long day visiing the sites at Sukhothai and Si Satchanali, a dip in the pool was most appealing. The breakfast, which was part of the tariff, was good enough, and had both western and Thai dishes. The staff, as mentioned by other reviewers, were eager to please, friendly, a little light om english language skills, but adequate. We can also highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel. Our group consisted of Thai and Australians, and both the western dishes and Thai dishes were very nice and reasonably priced. There are Thai singers singing in the restaurant at night who are quite entertaining in their way. The only criticism would be that there are some mosquitoes in the restaurant, so spray some repellent on before you go (it was not a major issue). | 8.4/10 |
29th December 2008 James Tucker | Staff are very nice and helpfull. Hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment, rooms and decore is old and outdated, water pressure is almost nil, and when going into room bad smells from bathroom. Let me know when refurbishment is completed.
8th August 2008 Klaus Berger | Very nice hotel, very friendly staff, propper, good pool, good continentel, american and asian breakfast. The hotel is often used as a Tour hotel. Finaly good value for money.
16th April 2008 Jose Ribeiro | Very Very bad. Do no stay here. Worst hotel in Thailand. Worst breakfast. So dirty. Nice staff.
14th March 2008 Kevin John Wells/Supattra Niemkon | Have stayed at the Pailyn twice now
Both times excellent First time in the wing next to the pool and the room very large was alittle bit tired
Last time stayed on the other side ..great
Food is excellent
Pool is great
Staff always friendly and helpful
Internet is a bit expensive but you can go elsewhere
A couple of restaurants and bars out the front and to the right of the Hotel
Hotel also organised self drive car hire for us as well
15th February 2008 Apple | Great Hotel, and Nice Pailyn Employees.
Recommend to stay. | |
Alles in allem gutes Hotel
2nd August 2007 DANIEL | An old hotel that looks like abandoned. Its in the middle of the old town and new town, far of both. Maybe it was a important hotel in the past. The breakfast was ok.There are better hotels and lodges for the same price. Im sorry but i cant recomend this hotel to you. Lotus Village is OK, beautiful and in the new town.
6th March 2007 Pete Bush | This was my 3rd visit to the hotel.
This time we were given a room away from the 1 night tourists so we were not woken by the trundle of suitcases being dragged along the walkways.
Most rooms are twins so if you require a double bed I suggest you ask for one when making your reservation.
Prices for food and drinks at the hotel are not bad at all.
6th March 2007 Manfred Weiss | Used the hotel on our way from Bankgkok to Chiang Mai. Our room needed a fresh up but was absolutely o.k. for the money we payed. Will shure book again.
12th January 2007 Pete Bush | This in my opinion is a good hotel located just a few km from the main town. Staff are friendly and efficient. There is a good buffet breakfast, however as with most hotels the food is not very warm.
Also be prepared for the 1 night package tourists who seem to get better treatment. Also be aware that these tourist tend to leave the hotel early and will wake you around 6am trundling their cases along the corridor.
