The hotel itsself is a bit run down, right now they have started the renovation. If the renovation is finished this can be a good Princess Hotel again. | 7.6/10 |

Ursula Scheeren | We stayed here for the second time in exactly the same room. As always, the staff is very helpfull and friendly. My son got sick and they took us to the hospital with their driver service, helped with all the procedures there and asking them how much all this would be, they just smiled. We are very thankful for this. On the other side, the rooms need renewing. One can see easily that there have been many visitors before.... Nevertheless, we would come back again. Because it is located right in the Nightmarket and the pool - after a hot day - is a wonderful change. | |

R. Tom Cloepfil | I had a wonderful visit. Your staff is exceptional, food first rate, service perfect.
My only complaint is that there is no water available for athletes in the work out area. I believe it is your hotels responsibility to provide this necessity as it is a safety issue.

AHMED SALEH JASIM MATHKOOR | It is so nice to stay in lovely Hotel like Royal princess Hotel it has a very good spot just near the airport and in the middle of all facilities like shopping malls public markets Fast Food shops supermarket, laundries and others.
But I have one negative thing I have to mention to your Hotel administration as we are Moslems we use to have water tap for washing after using the WC and this something very important for us but unfortunately we have not seen this facility in your lovely Hotel.
Also before I live the Hotel I have seen one of your senior administration or may be customer services officer was standing in front of the lobby having chat with some European residences like English, Americans, Italians, and others but he never bather him self to even took at us or talk to us like he did with others, And this behavior reflect very negative view about your Hotel reputation. He should have treat his guests equally not to discriminate between them.
Thank you very much for your concern about us and our tour comfort.

Millar & Francis | Great location right in the heart of night bazaar however the rooms were not as nice as the photos looked on the website. The staff were lovely and very helpful but quality of the rooms just let the place down. It must have been flash 70 - 80 s and they have attempted to upgrade but not quite cut mustard. The fridges are so old they almost look retro-cool. It just needs a bit of an upgrade. Food however was nice and considering the cheap price - you get what you pay for and it is worth it for the location, you walk out the door into the night bazaar madness. Pick up service was good too. | |

Samuel S. Lantow | The hotel was very nice. Its was clean and well maintianed. The breakfast was also good. I like spending time at the pool and it was nice and had towel service. The gym was minimal but some basic weights and a tred mid is the most you can expect any way. It was very well located near if not in the middle of the night bazar area. We rented a scooted and was in the midst of Songkran in about 2 minutes. I plan to stay there next year for Songkran. | |

We were a little disappointed by the deluxe room we had especially after the ambience of the reception area (you d think you were entering a royal palace!). Overall, very pleasing. | |

Phil | Excellent hotel, comfortable room, comfortable bed and enjoyed the restaurant both breakfast and dinner were very good. It is very close to the night bazaar which was great but no noise disturbance either. Was in easy walking distance to the old city. Would make a point of staying there again. | |

Daryl Ottaway | Although not a new hotel, the facilities are very nice and supported by friendly efficient staff - I liked the breakfast concept and all food was fresh and menus rotated daily - noodles/soups etc.

Naomi Grant | Our stay the royal princess was excellent. right in the center of the night bizare area ,a great location. the only real complaint is that the beds are too hard, like a rock, and ended up with back pain every day. however this applies to every hotel I have ever stayed in thailand. the rooms are a nice decor , but not very big , just enough room. The only other complaint would be that they love tiger balm or some incense of similar smell and all the hotel smelt of it. there was a good pool area , just big enough to relax in and a small gym which was good for a workout. Breakfast was a huge buffet included in the price and the food was excellent. Staff were great and attentive with good english ability. overall very good. Rates were about 3250bt per nigh so not super cheap but good quality without paying too much. | |

Elmer Martin | Booked two rooms for 5 days including Christmas Eve. Good location if you want to be in the tourist area including the Night Bazaar. Right across the street is Duke s with what seemed like the best warm spinach salad and Swiss mushroom burger in the world after the hotel foot. Breakfast is adequate but the downstairs cafe food isn t exceptional and don t order the cheese burger. Our rooms were not on the Night Bazaar street and were quiet. There are many new hotels in Chiang Mai and there is speculation that the insiders belive gambling is coming to Chiang Mai. The Royal Princess has a lot of competition. The hotel internet rates are excessive but there are 60 and 30 baht per hour access spots easily accessible nearby including one across the street with Skype - when it s open. | |
