8th April 2012 Dr Leong Seng Keen | Great location, excellent personal service, quiet and yet near to night bazaar and east bank of Mae Ping river. Great fantastic hotel with all amenities and thoughtful details. Although at a premium pricing, it lives up to its expectation as a 5 star hotel. Strong recommend if one can afford !! | 10/10 |
26th October 2011 Elisabeth Anderson | This is a fantastic place to stay, the hotel is luxurious, with beautiful gardens, pool, water features and night time lighting. There are many nice places to hang out, either at one of the bars, or the large lobby where you can even play chess. The pool service is outstanding, as are all the staff. English is very well spoken, and the food is superb! Will definately go back! | 10/10 |
4th October 2011 Hernie Mamat | Beautiful spacious Club Suite rooms. | 9.4/10 |
17th September 2011 Peter Corcoran | This is a fantastic hotel and worth every penny. If you have the opportunity, stay at the Chedi. It will spoil you for all other hotels. | 10/10 |
19th November 2010 Mr TAN | Had always wanted to stay in Chedi everytime I travelled to Chiangmai. This is my first stay there and Chedi really lives up to its name and quality. All the staff are friendly, from the reception to housekeeping to the restaurant. It s nice to be remembered by name and always greeted with a smile everywhere you go. Even when you wait in the lobby, someone will bring you a glass of cold water without you requesting for it. It s nice gestures like this that make this place so endearing. Will be back, no doubt ! | 10/10 |
17th May 2010 Mrs Maureen Hickling | If you find yourself at the Chedi you ll know that you will be back!! It really is a fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. If you are in any way hovering and wondering whether or not you should - YOU SHOULD. | 10/10 |
23rd December 2009 Ranjit Kaur | Good hotel, staff very polite and friendly.Very satisfied, room neat and cleaned well twice daily. | 8.4/10 |
10th April 2009 Niamh Culligan | AMAZING hotel! We took the stay 6 nights for the price of 4 deal.
The hotel itself is pretty much in the heart of Chiang Mai but has completely peaceful surroundings once inside. We were within walking distance to the night markets and restuarants such as Antique House.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and service was of a very high standard.
The Chedi s restaurant, bar, pool and spa were also of very high standard.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay!
5th March 2009 Tullio Mampreso | For 3 times in the last 2 years I have been guest of The Chedi in Chiang Mai. The rooms are very confortable and with all travelers can ask to a hotel. all the staff is perfect, so I can only suggest that if You want stay very good in Chiang Mai You must stay in The Chedi.
3rd October 2008 Barry W. Harding | This was our 2nd trip to the Chedi Chiang Mai and we love everything about the hotel, staff, rooms, and restaurants. We recommend it completely to anyone wanting a relaxing stay with 1st class service and treatment.
30th August 2008 Leanna Lynch | My mom & I both agreed that the Chedi was the nicest hotel we ve ever stayed at. Everyone was so friendly & eager to help us with whatever we needed. The spa was incredible, & we also loved the pool & workout facilities. The food was to die for, & the service was the best we ve ever had & we know because we travel to nice places often. The tours we booked through Chedi were so much fun & we really enjoyed our tour guide, Handsom. He was great. Overall our stay was phenominal & we would love to go back to the Chedi & will reccommend it to all of our friends in California.
4th July 2008 Therese Bourke | Stayed in the Club Suite - outstanding accommodation and service.Rooms spacious and luxurios (2 children in room with us - no problem)Laundry and mini bar all included.Staff very friendly and always helpful. One of the best hotels I have stayed in- beautiful architure and very peaceful even though it is located in town.10 minute walk to night market.
7th June 2008 Rennier Hernandez | We had a wonderful stay at The Chedi, yes it is expensive but for a treat it was well worth it! Service was exceptional all the frontliners spoke excellent english, the front desk staff even helped me book a car from a taxi company for my side trips and airport transfer without hardselling their hotel car!
Breakfast was wonderful, they served a lot of thai fruits and cooked to order the main dishes, lots of fresh squeeezed juices, coldcuts, cheese and diff. bread varieties on the buffet as well. Pool and spa really made the difference, I didn t want to go home anymore. Location is smack in the city, the Night Bazaar and anusarn market is just a short walk away. This hotel is best suited for couples I think all rooms have a huge balcony and king size beds, free wifi all over the place, excellent toiletries, 4 bottles of water daily, fruits in the room...a man could easily be spoiled rotten staying there!
We stayed 6 nights could easily stay 3 weeks if cost is of no option but alas there is that nasty thing called work that beckons once more sigh. Best hotel I ever stayed in, beats the stuffing off Shangrila.
6th May 2008 Loretta | The Chedi is PERFECT. It offers a good change from the likes of traditional architecture style of resorts like Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental. Chedi is located in the city centre and it is very convenient to visit all the tourists sights. The service and the attention to details at the Chedi are AMAZING...second to none. The Spa Massage@ the Chedi is the best we have had...it was much better than the massage we had at the Four Seasons. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
1st March 2008 Stewart FAIRGRIEVE | This was probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in and the staff, support and service were second to none. I highly recommend The Chedi . It is truely a relaxing and rewarding experience.
19th November 2007 Prue Jevtic | The pictures that website uses do not do the Chedi justice, this hotel was amazing! The service was fantastic and the staff were the most friendly I have ever had. This hotel did not leave out any details and everything ran perfectly. They arranged a few tours for us which were both fantastic and comfortable, this allowed us to see the best parts of Chiang Mai without the all of the catches or stops that the local services make you do. The hotels facilities were also great. I will be going back to Chiang Mai just to stay at the Chedi
13th November 2007 Andrew Loh | The hotel is beautiful and so restful. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone at The Chedi Chiang Mai for a memorable stay!
9th November 2007 Chris Ewin | We stayed at The Chedi,in a Club Room, for 3 nights and it was undoubtedly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Well worth paying the extra for a Club Room as the added facilities and room features make it very attractive. The room has both internal and external daybeds, a very comfortable bed for sleeping, flat screen TV with Bose CD/DVD player, free mini-bar, bottles of wine and spirits. free laundry and excellent Club lounge facilities with good breakfasts and free evening cocktails and canapes. The restaurant, overall decor and location are superb. It s within walking distance of the Night Bzaar -if you like buying T-shirts and rubbish souvenirs- and not far from the Walking Street which is more interesting and local .
Visit the lovely temple Wat Phra Do Sutep on the hills overlooking the city-fantastic ! The trip to the Hill Tribes was disappointing however and very over-priced. Chiang Mai is a nice city although not that startling and somewhat congested. Visit the furniture shops for some great quality items, especially the Teak furniture- beware the tourist traps however.
When we were there the weather was gorgeous, sunny and low humidity and cooler at night. We would recommend The Chedi very strongly.
4th April 2007 Susan Ward | We picked the best hotel in Chiang Mai, bar none! The hotel was beautiful!
The grounds were well manicured and tastefully done. The rooms are unique in design and the bed was cozy (most Asian hotels have very hard beds). The shower was the best we have ever had.Breakfest had a good variety. The staff was very helpful. The best part was the location. Close to the Night Market and the Day market (don t miss that area, Great Prices!
29th January 2007 Balzer | Great Hotel, perfect Service. Great Location to explore Chiang Mai. Within walking distance to the night market.
