28th April 2011 Upali Dayananda | Worst hotel I have ever stayed in the world.I will not reccomend this hotel to any one. | 3.2/10 |
28th April 2011 Upali Dayananda | Book this hotel at your own risk.Bed room was dirty and I had to ask the staff to clean it.I had a skin rash after using the swimming pool. Breakfast was inedible. There are better and cheaper hotels nearby. If you are thinking of booking this hotel please book it for one day and find out for yourself. Worst hotel I have ever stayed anywhere. | 3.2/10 |
17th April 2011 Christophe Lamon | The hotel is beautiful, with a nice central pool. The rooms are quite beautiful for this price range. However, the service is not friendly at all and is not really willing to support. Sad, because the rest of the hotel was good. | 6.8/10 |
9th February 2011 Huet Jean-Michel | We have appreciated to be there for 10 days.
The staff is very friendly, the location is perfect 150 m from the tapae gate, very quiet and peacefull area. | 10/10 |
5th December 2010 HOFF | I stayed almost three weeks in Karinthip Village and regret no day. Everything was to my satisfaction and I would like to come back again to Ching Mai and this hotel. Special thanks to the frontdesk that managed all my requests perfectly.

26th September 2010 LIZHE | 酒店真的很棒,离夜市,非常的近,走路5分钟。但是酒店在街道里面,很安静很安静。环境很不错,早餐也OK。服务态度也可以。总之很不错的酒店 | 10/10 |
28th July 2009 Cassandra Kam Ling Grable | We LOVED our stay at Karinthip Village. It was perfect for our group. Our room was comfortable and just the right size and the facilities were very nice. They provided a very good breakfast every morning and they picked us up and took us to the airport for a small charge. The service was excellent - very friendly and warm. We felt as though we were part of the family there as we came and went each day. The location was right near the night bazaar and was very low key and convenient. We visited a few other luxury hotels in the area for dinner or lunch and, while they were very nice, we all agreed the ease and comfort of Karinthip made it the best fit for us. It felt like home away from home and we couldn t have enjoyed our vacation more. Thank you so much! | 10/10 |
25th July 2009 Sabine Vanhaelen | this hotel is very well located. The service is very nice and the hotel seems to be a paradise inside Chiang Mai. The staff is very friendly and always available to help you and to provide you information. We surely will come again in this hotel. We went with our 3 children and the accomodation is nice... as well for the swimming pool, as for the internet, as to have lunch. We thank all the staff for their kindness and services. | 10/10 |
14th October 2008 BRITT Jonathan Peregrine | Well laid out hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
Will definitely stay there again.
19th October 2007 W van Beveren | second time here and again very nice to stay, near night market and warorot market
I love it | |
14th June 2007 Mr and Mrs Raistrick | This is infact the second time we have stayed at this hotel , the first time was on honeymoon and we had a satisfactory experience but unfortunately this time will be the last due to the terrible levels of customer service received on this trip and outrageous over charging.
On our second night in the hotel I turned on a tap in a normal manner and the appliance broke off into my hand spraying water everywhere, we informed staff and they very curtly informed us that we would have to move rooms and pay for a new tap!
We tried everyway to argue that the hotel must take responsibilty for appliances but they insisted that becuase the tap worked before we used it and was quite new, we must have broken it, in the end we had to pay over £40.00 or face criminal charges!! It was even more frustrating as every quote they gave us for the tap increased by the day?!
We asked to hotel policy and there was nothing relating to this kind of situation, staff admitting that this was the first time this had happened and they were not sure how to deal with it!!
We asked to speak to a manager and told there was not one available at any time.
We had paid in full not expecting there to be any problems , so we tried to check out early and told we would also be charged a full nights accomodation as a fee!
After this we requested late check out and were quoted a price of £15, however upon check out were charged £30 !! they explained this was a mistake and again there was no reasoning with any of the staff and we were obliged to pay as we had a plane to catch!
This whole experience was frustrating and stressfull and ruined our time in the city.
We could not recommend this hotel and in our opinion feel that if you want a relaxing time and peace of mind you should stay elsewhere, either that or dont touch the taps!!!
7th March 2007 Manfred Weiss | A nice looking place with beautifull rooms.
We had bad luck with roomservice. Returning late in the evening from a long day we found the rooms not done, o. k. may happen. Someone was send to fix it but not well done. No compensation for that and that is poor management because the hotel is not a cheap place to stay. I will choose a new place next time.
2nd March 2007 Tristan Splett | It s a pleasant place, an oasis close to the Old Town from ChiangMai (only 5 minutes to walk). Very quit. Rooms are clean, the pool need to be renovated. No breakfast-buffet at this time (maybe it depends on the quantity of guests).

15th February 2007 Edward Shaw | An excellent hotel-a quiet enclave from the bustle of the town though only a short walk from the old gate and the old town and an easy ramble down to the night market.
11th February 2007 Thomas Freil | We enjoyed our stay a Karinthip in Chang Mai (4 days). The hotel is almost like a resort, with a very nice pool garden surrounded by the nice appartments, even though the hotel is located in the center of the town. You have only 5 to 7 minutes walk to night market. Rooms are clean but small. Buffet breakfast is ok, and staff are friendly, but the service is not world class. We ordered a taxi transfer to the airport (10 minutes) and we were told that the price was 800 bath. Instead we found a taxi-bus outside the hotel (150 bath). The staff is not very helpful to help you arranging tours, and the service is expensive (hotel taxi, busses, etc). But the location, rooms and pool is very nice for a family with kids.
8th February 2007 R. Moetwil | Karinthip is hard to find in ChangMai.
Other than that we had a great stay.
The room was nice, not to big by the way.
The restaurant served nice food. Staff was very friendly!
Location of Karinthip is in the center of Changmai. Easy starting point for your city hikes and trips to e.g. The Night Bazaar and all the restaurants.
We would stay here next time we go to Chang Mai.
