The Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa is a villa resort set in spacious, lush tropical gardens and perched on a hill that gently slopes towards a mesmerizing blue sea on the picturesque Laem Nan Peninsula of Lamai Bay, the south-east coast of Samui island.

Featuring luxurious villas, spacious deluxe rooms, two swimming pools, exquisite dining and the Quan Spa, the resort is a true sanctuary for the five senses. Its conveniently located near Lamai fishing village and the hip, busy shopping and center of Chaweng is only fifteen minutes away.

ACCOMMODATION

Tranquility Accommodations Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa comprises 78 Villas and Deluxe Rooms. Rooms are sea facing with stunning views of the lush tropical gardens and the Gulf of Siam.

Tranquility Deluxe Rooms blend contemporary style and finest Asian decor with an emphasis on comfort and luxury. Finely appointed with all modern amenities, every deluxe room is designed with its own private whirlpool. Deluxe Rooms are located in the main building of the resort. Each of the 43 Deluxe Rooms is over 50 square meters in size, including a spacious private terrace and features either a King bed or two twin beds, large writing desk, high speed internet access, two phone lines, relaxing area with a traditional Thai day bed, satellite TV and mini bar. The unique bathrooms are equipped with separate sunken shower which leads to an oversized whirlpool tub located on the outdoor private terrace. Interconnecting rooms are available.

:: Pool Villa Garden and Pool Villa Beachfront ::

Villas are located around the beach level of the resort in the fragrant, tropical gardens. One's imagination will be spoilt by the wall encompassed luxurious villa with an exclusive private plunge pool overlooking our tranquil gardens or the vast sea. The luxurious 32 villas offer seclusion and privacy, each villa is surrounded by lush vegetation and sun-drenched terracotta wall. The villas have a living area of 60 - 64 square meters in size and 96 - 102 square meters outside private terrace and plunge pool with sun beds and a dining area accessible from the spacious living room through traditional Thai doors. Each villa features a separate bedroom with a King size four-poster bed and separate living area, each bedroom comes with a private bathroom featuring double vanity and sunken bath/shower. The villas are furnished in the finest Asian decor with hardwood teak floors and boasts views of the Gulf of Siam or the beautiful gardens.

TawaNN
The resort's signature restaurant TawaNN fully embraces the philosophical meaning of the Thai word -that the sun and warmth is the source of life and happiness. This chic restaurant offers a stunning menu with emphasis on succulent seafood straight from the bay, enhanced with fresh herbs.

From warm welcoming smiles for which the Thais are famous, to a superb and enriching culinary experience, an evening at TawaNN will please the palate delight the senses. This very special outdoor restaurant is nestled among fragrant tropical gardens. Stunning views of Lamai Bay and the al fresco experience also combine to make this a place for romantic dining or that special night out.

Tapas
Tapas-this open air pavilion boasts a truly relaxing atmosphere. The menu encompasses the idea of people sharing an experience and features "Mediterranean and Thai selections". A wide range of Italian fare is also on offer. While tasting and sampling these special savories, guests may enjoy sangria made from a special recipe, superb dry sherry or a variety of cocktails prepared by skilled bartenders all the while listening to the melodic sounds and song of Iberia -the home of tapas.

Romantic Dining
Romantic Dining can be reserved at one of the resort's Beach Sala with beautiful views of the Gulf of Siam. What a perfect way to surprise a loved one, with personal butler service, and a choice of either Thai or international 4-course set menus. A la carte dining is also available. We suggest that bookings be made 24 hours in advance as the sala need to be decorated with tropical flowers and candles for that very special ambiance.

The Spa is set majestically among huge natural rocks amidst the resort's lush tropical gardens with sweeping views of the Lamai Bay. Close attention has been paid to the Spa's garden decor, from numerous oriental touches through to ornamental fountains and stone friezes creating an ambiance of inner peace and tranquility. The Spa offers a wonderful range of traditional and western treatments. Five authentic thatched roof salas located literally on the sea's edge cater for outdoor Thai massage or can be used for Meditation and relaxation.

Four massage double treatment suites with private bathroom featuring unique Thai decor offer air-conditioned comfort. Swimming Pools
The resort has two magnificent swimming pools. The Main Beachfront pool decorated with oriental sculptures has three levels, two of which can be used as paddling pools for children. The pool is located by the beach and has magnificent views. The resort's 50 meter Leelawadee Lap Pool is located adjacent to the Deluxe Room building and offers a truly Olympic experience as well as a tropical, peaceful and quiet environment.

Conference Facilities
The Lotus meeting room offers small exclusive groups an option to meet on Koh Samui with an emphasis on service and meeting deliver. The ballroom, divisible into two sections, an area of 120 square meters (1,292 square feet), is ideal for an intimate board-room set up, cocktail party, wedding reception or a gala dinner. The inviting pre-function meeting space is great for small coffee breaks. Themed events and corporate teambuilding exploring our diverse locations can also be arranged to cater to each client's specific requirements.

Weddings
The resort's romantic environment is an ideal setting for memorable wedding ceremonies and unforgettable receptions. When Marriott International assumed management of the Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa designs and plans were developed and funds were invested to installs state of the art sprinkler and smoke detection system resort wide to further enhance safety and security.

In addition to security personnel being on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week, the resort conducts associate training in the art of fire extinguisher use and basic first aid as the protection and well being of our guests, associates and assets is of paramount importance.

28th March 2010 Hans Peter Heffels	It is a very nice hotel with excellent service. It is located on a very quiet street. Very helpful and friendly staff. The water in the sea however is very shallow and not suitable for swimming. Internet is available in the room, however quite expensive and should be included in the roomrate of a 4 star hotel.	7.4/10
16th May 2009 ANDREW CLARK	i have been to thailand many times but this was my ladies first time to any country in asia.this hotel was a great first experience for her.the facilities were first class,but the most amazing thing she noticed was the fantastic staff.the level of service in all areas of the hotel was excellent.we have travelled extensively through europe and this standard of service is up there with the best i have seen.if i ever return to koh samui,i would not think to stay anywhere else.keep up the great work	10/10
14th March 2008 Anne Cathine Roeed	Renaissance is a really beautiful place to stay. We have been travelling several places in Thailand and stayed a resort in this category - but this is the best. It is located nothern part of Lamai and still realy quite. We stayed there in the first Easter weekend an walked for 1 km on the beach and we just meet 3-4 turists on the beach. The rooms where very delicate and modern designed. the pool area had beautiful flowers and three different levels where children could play. The breakfast was fantastic. We could choose from 10-12 different natural fruit juices - squezed at the restaurant. The spa was very delicate and felt luxirious. The garden, the light at nights, the sounds, the atmosphere - everthing is lovely - flowers,pampering, fresh fruit. Great view. But you have to be prepared for food and spa prices far over average. We stayed o the best villa ; beachfront pool villa and enjoyed every minute of it. Anne Roeed with family (children and 8), Norway
13th February 2007 Judy Slater	This was a lovely hotel with charming and attentative staff. We were upgraded to a pool villa on arrival but chose the Deluxe Sea view which we had booked which demonstartes the high standard of accomadation here. Lovely touch with the fresh towels as they were shaped into creative animals and placed on your bed every day. Only criticism is that the drinks were quite expensive - particularly the wine - we did try some good thai wine else where and dont know why they dont serve more at reasonable prices as house wine. Great lap pool if you are feeling energetic, although the beach benefits from a great sunset and happy hour cocktails. Great for those looking for peace and relaxation, but only a 10minute can ride to the bustle of Chaweng.
