26th March 2011 Traveller | Oh my god, what a nightmare! We arrived to the hotel and the lady didn t have our booking which should have made us go elsewhere right there and then. Nevertheless she gave us a bungalow: with a filthy floor with millions of little ants running around. The curtains had stains on them and the bed linen were damp. The shower was a joke, I could not wash my hair there. I think our bungalow was the only one with no tv which didn t help the fact that it was raining the both two days we stayed there so had nothing to do in the little shack. The bungalows were in the middle of nowhere too so no chance of walking anywhere. On top of it all the roof started leaking from three different places during our last night there. I think the bungalow had mould too as I couldn t breathe there properly and my breath was very wheezy for next few days after we got out of the bungalow of horror!
The owners were nice and friendly tho. But that doesn t make up for the 2 nights of pure suffering! I wish they would have offered us a refound! | 2.4/10 |
7th February 2011 Petr Rogner | Briefly said - a terrible experience in the Jinta Beach Bungalows...for 1200 BTH a night (that was the best and most expensive of their internet offer) a very, very basic concrete house with a twin bed, no cabinet or cupboard to put your things, dirty inside, two broken dirty plastic chairs and a table on what was called a veranda and mess all around the bungalows. Very far from any even simple restaurant or shop. I could not recommend this place even to my enemy. Avoid visiting it, or if you have to, escape as quickly as possible. We spent here only the first night.... -:( | 2.6/10 |
18th August 2010 Jens Wilhelmsen | nice and quiet place where it really is possible to relax and enjoy it. beautiful beach area. good service, good food, nice and helpful people when there were rented scooter, taxi booked or organized tours. bungalow seems a little worn but neat and clean. We will gladly come again. | 7/10 |
7th March 2010 Sergey Emshanov | Me is 32, my wife is 27. We searched for a lonely place with beautiful sunset. A solitude have found, a sunset went to look by bike. The hotel has left good impression. We lived at bungalow in 20 metres from a beach. Neighbours - the European pensioners, clever and quiet people, very pleasant in dialogue. The personnel - only 2 persons, the husband and the wife. Very pleasant people, helped with any questions. To organise BBQ with crabs for a supper, to rent a bike, to reserve tickets on Koh Tao, to find shop, market or restaurant, to find the best place for supervision over a sunset - there are no non-solved questions for them! Huge it for these thanks!
The beach has a little upset: a small depth on a waist even in hi tide, about 150-200 metres from coast, there are stones and seaweed at the bottom. The snorkelling, promised on a site, is absent - it is necessary to float to the nearest island Koh Tan for it (ab. 4 km).
Next time we will stay at this hotel in the end of the trip because we want more active rest at the start of the trip.
Giudizio sintetico:
Ottimi i bungalows e l ambiente famigliare sempre pronti ad esaudire ogni nostra richiesta.
Ottima vista panoramica sul mare.
Pessima visibilità in acqua per chi, come me credeva di fare fotografia a pesci e coralli.
26th February 2009 Raikko Jonita Marjanne | Overpriced. We bought deluxe, but A/C did not really work and shower was a joke. Beach was not clean and dogs were sometimes scary. But yes, it was secluded and peaceful. Owner was unbelievable when was reclamated. He just hung up the phone! Family who actually works on location tried their best and were nice.
14th February 2009 Marlene Anderson | Nice and clean, good value for money. Bungalow was not on the beach but was still with sea view. Very quiet remote location so definitely need transport. Good beach, shallow water, good for swimming at high tide. High tide water was up to waste, low tide was up to knees. Clear water and clean beach - no rocks on beach as in many places on Koh Samui
23rd December 2008 Nikita Bolshakov | Ideal variant for rest alone with the nature of Tailanda. Nearby interesting enough road to mountains to the latent beach. You there will absolutely one, as a bottom stony water on Taling Ngam transparent. Absolutely nearby, for Coconut villa a beach with an abundance of cockleshells on a coastal line. The sea not deep, a surf not strong, beaches pure. It is not enough local residents only fishermen. But it is necessary to take at once мотобайк - fruit to buy, products, at excursion to go. For a supper nearby is Coconut villa, it is inexpensive and it is tasty, in the same place a car lease and мотобайков as мотобайки is at owners of hotel. Для русских - езжайте все отлично, и цена невысокая и загар на пляже получите отличный.
22nd December 2008 Bo Lindh | Jinta is a peaceful bungalow village with a private beach and a fine pool, if the water is good
and you are looking for a quiet few days this is a fine place, on the downside is that there is not more than one restaurant and that’s next door(only open to six)The woman running the bungalow with her family will fix food for you and come to it to your bungalow at desired time. We liked the place but missed that there was not a few more places to go to in the evening when the sun went out.

13th July 2008 Stephen Ling | This is at the quieter SW end of the island, just a few resorts and holiday homes (and lots of coconut trees) nearby. Shops and places to eat are just within walking range, but hiring a motorbike or some other transport would be a good choice. Delux bungalow was fine for the price, with view out to sea. Beach at the resort is quiet and OK, but for really lovely empty beaches you can paddle a canoe or get a local fisherman to take you the 2km to the small island just opposite. Also a small and clean swimming pool.
What made this place special was the service provided by the couple who run it - Joi and her husband will fetch food and run other errands as needed. They will buy fresh seafood at low prices from the local market and set up a BBQ on the beach for you - a much better option than local seafood restaurants (as it is difficult to find good quality and prices in tourist areas). Well recommended for a quiet holiday away from the reggae music and crowds of the main resorts.
20th February 2008 Kirsten Meinert Esskiyah | Good for travellers seeking peace and quiet. The keeper is very friendly and helpfull. The bungalows are funktional with no hot water, but in good surroundings and nice terrace.
An absolute recommenable place to go, and at a good price...
23rd December 2007 Nikki Burrows | Basic but clean bungalows in beautiful beach location. Had electric shower which could have been better but linen was changed and bungalow cleaned daily. Friendly staff. Ideal if peace and quiet are required.
3rd November 2007 Mrs Margaret Liddell | Beautiful location right on the beachfront. We loved the new deluxe bungalows and our son had a very comfortable beach house. The couple that serviced the units and kept the lawns & gardens, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We did have trouble finding the bungalows as there were no directions or phone number on the confirmation sheet.Would be great to come back sometime.
