Established more than 20 years ago, Koh Tao Resort is one of the original resorts on the island.
In that time we have developed beautiful landscaped gardens around our accommodation, set in a spacious, private area next to Chalok Baan Kao village, at the South of Koh Tao. Along with the cleanliness, our beautifully laid out resort makes us the ideal choice for both couples and families wishing for an idyllic time away from home. Customer service is paramount to us. We provide the services that our customers want, from massage to scuba diving.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We have a wide variety of accommodation to suite all need and budgets. All of our rooms are set in our landscaped gardens, either directly behind the beach or a short walk away. All rooms have cable television and a separate, private bathroom.

:: Standard Room ::

A modern airy apartment with a spectacular sea view. Close to all of our amenities and the beach. An adjoining door between apartments allows bigger groups or families to holiday together whilst maintaining privacy. There are six of these terraced, brick built apartments. Each with air-conditioning.

:: Bungalow ::

A spacious room with a double bed and an outside balcony, set in our landscape garden. A pleasant stroll from our swimming pool and the beautiful white sands of Koh Tao's southern beach. We have seven of these air-conditioned bungalows. Detached for your privacy and enjoyment.

:: Superior Room ::

Set in our lovely landscape gardens, close to the swimming pool and the beach. There are eight of these air-conditioned, terraced rooms. These units incorporate your own private patio.

:: Deluxe Room ::

A classy, glass fronted room with air-conditioning. Moments for the beach. Each with a spacious, shaded private veranda.Deluxe can sleep 2-4 people making them ideal for the holidaying family. There are twelve of these large rooms. Each with a large double bed and a single bed.

:: Beach Front ::

With two glass walls and beautiful views all round. These rooms are situated on the back of the beach with spacious shaded balconies. With two double beds a family can be easily accommodated in these beautifully furnished apartments, DVD player, hair dryer and kettle with tea and coffee. There are only two of these, set in their own gardens close to both pool and beach.

:: Luxury Family ::

A large, wood paneled apartment furnished with two double beds. This unit also has a gazebo style lounge room and a private, shaded Jacuzzi, DVD player, hair dryer and kettle with tea and coffee. Situated over the bar area. Offering the height of style and luxury to couples or families holidaying in paradise. These two are the last word in comfort. Set at the centre of the resort, affording a beautiful, uninterrupted sea view.

:: Poolside Bungalow Suite ::

The largest apartment available at Koh Tao Resort and right next to the swimming pool and the beautiful, white sand beach. This apartment offers two large bedrooms
(each with two double beds), a shaded balcony and a beautifully furnished living area. Ideal for two couples or for the larger, or extended family.

Swimming Pool: We have our own private swimming pool. This is an infinity pool in the centre of the resort. It is located just at the back of the beach. Amazing sunsets can be enjoyed whilst relaxing here.

Baan Kao Restaurant: Our friendly staff are waiting to serve you Thai or Western food. Our food is delicious, we buy our food supplies in fresh daily. Large parties or special dietary needs may be arranged upon request.

Moonstone Bar: Our well stocked bar will serve you both local and imported bottled and draught beers, imported wines and the normal selection of spirits in the open air. A panoramic view of the surrounding area while relaxing with your favorite tipple.

Beach Bar: We provide kayaks, petanque, and a sheltered fitness area for your enjoyment. Daytime drinks may also be purchased here.

Newly established to the highest specifications, The 'Paradise Zone' complex is beautifully placed amongst the palm garden on the hill behind our old resort. We offer a stylish range of accommodation, fantastic food, and a great panoramic seaview with sunsets to match. Ko Tao Resort - Paradise Zone is the perfect choice for couples and families who expect the highest standards in comfort, cleanliness, and customer service.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We have a wide variety of rooms, ranging from the Superior to the Luxury Paradise. All of our rooms are fitted with hot and cold running water, cable TV, refrigerators and air conditioning as standard. Completed in 2008 our 'Paradise Zone' is designed to compliment the beautiful scenery surrounding it. Our rooms are built into the hillside overlooking the sea.

:: Superior - Paradise Zone ::

There are nine of these lovely rooms available. Spacious and airy. Luxuries a moment from the infinity pool. These medium apartments are ideal for the family and can sleep 2-3 people with a large double and a single bed. Enjoy your private shaded balcony, with garden or mountain view.

:: Deluxe and Deluxe Family - Paradise Zone ::

There are eight of these beautifully appointed rooms, with a large double and a single bed. There are a further three special family apartments with two rooms and a third bed.
All rooms are completely furnished with original Thai art and craftwork. Enjoy the view over the bays from the comfort of your shaded balcony.

:: Paradise Sea View - Paradise Zone ::

Pure luxury and comfort with a breathtaking panoramic view of the bay. There are five of these large rooms built secluded underneath our Infinity Pool, each equipped with a double and a single bed. Air-conditioning, cable TV, baht tube on open air balcony and refrigerator come as standard. Enjoy your paradise sea view from the comfort of your very own fantastic balcony bathtub.

:: Honeymoon Paradise - Paradise Zone ::

A beautiful sunny apartment built for two. Classic Thai style and western comfort combined. The spacious balcony commands an epic 180 degree panoramic view of the bay below. Original Thai Silk prints and ornate hard wood furnishings all add to the romance of your stay. Only one of these apartments is available, fully furnished with air-conditioning, cable TV, refrigerator, DVD player and Jacuzzi.

:: Deluxe Paradise - Paradise Zone ::

We have two of these roomy apartments, featuring a Jacuzzi with a view and a lot more besides. These rooms have a large double and a single bed, air-conditioning, cable TV, and refrigerator. The balcony has one of the best views over the entire Chalok Baan Kao Bay from Room 506 or the Rocky Bay to Shark Island and the marine park from Room 516. Relax in the balcony Jacuzzi, and enjoy a cocktail as the sun sets in the west.

:: Luxury Room - Paradise Zone ::

A bright and airy apartment with luxury in mind. These rooms feature a large double and a single bed, as well as; air-conditioning, flat screen cable TV, DVD player. Furnished throughout in classic Thai style but with plenty of western comfort, the sofa alone is luxury itself. This large room sleeps up to three people, and has a wide balcony and sea views.

:: Luxury Paradise - Paradise Zone ::

The finest paradise zone has to offer. The ultimate in luxury. We have two of these apartments, each with two large double beds. Fitted throughout in Thai wood and stylishly
decorated with local art, these large rooms have all the modern conveniences and much more. The wrap around balcony offers stunning views of the two bays, Chalok Baan Kao and Rocky bay. The balcony also features sun loungers, DVD player and an open air Jacuzzi. Relax and enjoy pure luxury.

Swimming Pool: One of the first places to visit is our infinity swimming pool. Relax in clear blue water and enjoy the best sunset views on the island. The pool is a short walk from all rooms and is for customers only.

Baan Mai Restaurant: Our kitchens are well prepared for international guests. A delicious range of authentic Thai cuisine is available as well as most classic Western dishes. Our helpful staff are happy to serve any special dietary needs, and we love to host large parties.

Moonstar Bar: You will get a warm welcome at the Moonstar Bar. If a Chang or Singha beer is not to your taste we stock a wide variety of imported bottled and draught lagers. A wide range of imported wines are also available, and we definitely suggest you try a cocktail.

Front Beach: A short walk down the hill and you will find our beach bar. Sit by the sea and enjoy a drink while soaking up the rays, or keep cool in the shade and watch the world go gently by, Koh Tao style. A pick up transfer between the beach resort and The Paradise Zone is also available upon your request during 7am - 10pm.

19th April 2012 Valérie & family	Hotel composé de 2 parties : chambres sur les hauteurs et bungalows près de la plage. Nous étions 6 (2 adultes et 4 grands enfants) dans 1 petit appartement composé de 2 chambres et 1 salles de bains. Les chambres sont grandes, un peu vieillotes niveau décoration mais les lits sont confortables et la salle de bain pratique. Compter 5 bonnes minutes de descente pour rejoindre la plage à pied, mais il existe un système de navette bien pratique entre les 2 parties. 1 piscine pour chaque zone. Personnel sympathique et servible.	7.4/10
24th March 2012 Noskova Anastassiya	We didn t expect that sea would be so dirty, we went for swimming only once during our 4 days stay in this hotel. Didn t much like waiters in the restaurant they were a bit disturbing (they talk to clients much and like they probably talk with their friends). there is a free taxi service to the pier but drivers can be late. In the room air conditioning wasn t working good and one day we went in swimming pool by coming back to our room saw two men fixing our air conditioning so we had to wait for 1 hour in our balcony. We live in beach front and the way to the beach didn t look like on a photo on a hotel s website. Near our room were lot s of trees and flowers where lived many noisy insects because of which we woke up at almost every night. The price is too high for this kind of service, we expected more than we got. Good: pool nice and clean, balcony pretty cozy for chilling in the evening, location - not far from 7\11 and many other shops and bars, room is fine and clean enough.	5.2/10

This room had a resident mouse and so the staff moved us to a De Luxe room which was larger but furnished in the same design. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.	7.4/10

16th February 2012 Michael Kirkeby Salbo	Perfekt low key and quiet Resort with hotel facilities and services. The staff is extremely nice and the Chalok restuarant with New Heaven down the road one of the best on Koh Tao - especially the BBQ and seafood is recommendable. The beach is nice and children friendly and you have perfect snorkleling beaches just around the corner and in swimming distance (Freedom Beach and shark Bay - Mr. Loi from KR will show you the sharks). The resort has is own dive shop - Big Bubble to minutes away is also great with a lot of expad staff. 100 I ll go back to Koh Tao Resort if I have to Koh Tao	8/10
9th January 2012 Morten Gerø	Booked for 4 nights. Hotell is very nice, the staf i great, but rooms are not that nice. Dark rooms and a lot off mosquitos. Can not sit out in the evening. We moved to the hotels paradise Zone after 2 ninghts. This is fantastic. New rooms, nice and clean, and a great view from the balcony, restaurant. The pool is fantasic. Staff is great. If you go to Ko Tao Resort, stay at Paradise. We stayed for 10 nights.	7.4/10

13th July 2011 jarrosson	on low season the room was expensive but cool. we are sure that they took us more money. We have amount on our credit cards that we didn t spend , it s very strange! carreful of your spend there they probably charge you for more !!! the food is great a bit expensive for thai food and they don t know how to serve meal , they bring you the dish before appetiser... the personal hwo work there specialy the men in the entrance are scary and strange, girls are nice and helpfull. the swing pool is nice but a bit small for all the people there! this is a family resort but not so good for lovers. the dive is cool ! but you can dive there without being in the resort. the resort beach is not the nicest beach of koh tao ! we spend there 4 days we whent to there beach just once , the water isn t blue but green and the sand is mudy!	5.2/10

19th March 2011 Anna Lindberg	The hotel is ok, was probably a very nice place about 15 years ago but now it could use some renovations regarding paintwork and furniture inside rooms. The pool area is nice, just by the beach (no sun chairs on the beach because of the high tides during nights). Free taxi service 4 times a day to Mae Haad (other times they charge you 50 baht per person). Good breakfast. The staff in the restaurant area is great... and the food is good, ok prices for a big hotel!	6/10
