11th April 2012 Mr R Hartland | Have stayed at this hotel a number of times although public areas a well kept rooms are showing their age and could do with refurbishment. Staff are courteous and helpful breakfast is plentiful but menue for Westerners is limited. That said on the whole the hotel is good value for money. | 6/10 |
17th November 2010 Anong Lane | The hotel although dated is always comfortable and warm. The people are what make this hotel so enjoyable | 7.8/10 |
13th October 2010 Mr David Ward | Would really benefit from a bit of TLC. Otherwise still the same as usual. Nothing spectacular, but convenient. | 6.4/10 |
2nd September 2010 Terence Wilson/Ni Pressit | Comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. The rooms are due for a renovation. | 8/10 |
24th December 2009 Mr.Derek Timcke | A well-situated and pleasant Hotel.Staff very helpful and friendly.Rooms spacious,albeit a little dated decor wise,but excellent value for money.The swimming pool was an added bonus. | 8/10 |

31st October 2009 David Ward | Looking even more worn out this year, unfortuneatly nowhere else to stay near the in-laws. | 6/10 |
12th September 2009 Joan Helle Olsen Joergensen | The staff was friendly and very flexible. The Restaurant was very good if you wanted lunch or dinner, but the breakfast was a bit booring if you were from europe. | 7.5/10 |
20th August 2009 Leo G Spierenburg | Maintenence need serious attention
Rooms are in a low state of maintenence
Rooms have a bad odour
The WiFi is not to standard Does not work | 5.4/10 |
21st April 2009 Chris Stanford | This is the ONLY full-service, four-star type hotel in Kalasin. It has no competition in the city. The Rimpao is comfortable and the service is adequate. English is understood and spoken by a small number of staff. The view is pleasing from the upper floors. The pool (not heated) has just been repaired and is a great attraction for any kids. The ground-floor restaurant has a limited foreign menu. Beer is available (no wine or spirits). The lower level offers four evening entertainment venues for relaxing, including a snooker hall and an Extreme disco. This hotel also offers full convention facilities and meeting rooms. Internet access is available at a cost, and the connection is of a somewhat poor quality and slow. But, hey, this is not downtown Bangkok! I used my Blackberry without any problems so had no need for additional Internet connection.
I will certainly stay at the Rimpao the next time I am in the area on paleontological research. (This is great dinosaur hunting country!)
I would re-name the hotel to The Kalasin Siamosaurus or, The Kalasin Siamotyrannus to reflect the unique dinosaur discoveries in the area.
15th March 2009 carol inez robinson | This was an excellent hotel and the room was good and very roomy. Breakfast also was good.
27th February 2009 Anthony Hathaway | very nice frienly staff good location rooms good size
17th November 2008 David Ward | Good stay as always. Staff very good and provide an excellent service. The hotel now has internet access in reception, and the price is not too bad. It s a pity that the rooms have not been renovated since it opened, ours was really showing signs of neglect. All it requires is a bit of maintenance.
16th September 2008 William Lawrence | Medium to small size room with twin beds ( double available at extra fee ).Small bathroom with basic toiletries, great HW pressure. Buffet b fast not available my morning only basic ABF....worst hotel coffee I have had for ages...but at least the eggs were hot.CYBERPOINT pre paid internet available. 10 min walk to bus stn via the lake. Average to poor value for money.
17th July 2008 Eric Frederick Hutchings | Hotel, pool, bars, parlours, staff and food are all good. Unfortunately the rooms are starting to wear and it shows. It is the best in Kalasin, so check out your room first and switch if it isn t up to standard
19th May 2008 Monika van Gelder - Fraeulin | I think, it is the only hotel in this region with a pool, which was the important thing for us to go there with our children. We stayes one night on travelling further on. Everything was okay, clean rooms, very very big pool.
22nd November 2007 Peter Wegmueller | simple but clean
difficult to find somebody who speaks english
different drinks, which were on the list were not available
15th November 2007 David Ward | Same as usual, service amd staff good. Could do with a bit of re-decoration. As it is starting to look a bit tired.
15th February 2007 Stephen Penny | Very helpful staff, especially at reception where no problem seemed too much. Room was very simply furnished but very clean. Excellent hotel courtesy mini bus on hand for half day or full day trips at excellent value with friendly drivers who will take you anywhere, whether tourist locations or just to the bank and the shops.
22nd December 2006 David Ward | As good as last year. Just wish that they had double rooms and not just twins.
