8th February 2011 Hans J. Rhyn | Before this Hotel was called only Grand Hotel, now Paradise Grand Hotel. Why the name Paradise? No extras, still a very run down hotel, only for the central location it is recommended to stay. It needs urgent renovation. The sound from the boxing area next to the hotel was awfully loud until 2am, so we were not able to sleep properly, the curtains are so thin that the flood light comes in during the night... | 5.2/10 |
6th January 2011 Anthony John Broome | I ve been a regular at the Nongkhai Grand for many years usually staying for longer than a week at a time. The staff are always fabulous and the rooms a good size and reasonable standard. | 7.4/10 |
13th November 2010 HANS JURG RHYN | The same as usual, very run down hotel, corridors near elevators need to be refurbished, the rooms as well. Not even a hand towel available. Staff unpleasant, less friendly as in Loei. Still it s the best choice in Nong Khai, good location right in town. Breakfast tables dirty, sticky - need a competent manager to look after. | 5.2/10 |
13th November 2010 HANS JURG RHYN | A bit a run down hotel competing with Mekong River Palace. Corridors should be refurbished, bedrooms are ok but bathrooms not well equipped (hand towels missing). Tables at breakfast with dirty sets do not look appealing, staff at reception and coffee shop without any charme. | 5.8/10 |
7th August 2009 Khun Yupadee Nivatpumin |
26th January 2009 LAHAYE Erik | Pool closed foor grat reparation . Holes in the sheets, holes in the towels. Nothing functioned, only breakfast was good. This is a dying hotel and should be forgotten. | |
15th January 2007 Josef Bernhardt, Vienna, Austria, | The Nongkhai Grand Hotel is really a great hotel in the north of Thailand.
All the staff gives you a warm welcome and a smile every time.
I have stayed only two nights there, but I really felt like home.
All persons in this hotel are really friendly and all speak really good English. (I had bad experiences with not English speaking staff in some hotels in Udon Thani before many times.)
A great hotel with a nice and clean swimming-pool. Large and clean rooms with nice balcony and with a nice view.
Nongkhai is a really lovely town in the north.
I can recommend this hotel to everybody.
