Udon Thani is one of the great commercial cities in the Northeast
of Thailand, and is also the gateway to Laos, Northern Vietnam and Southern
China, being close to the Friendship Bridge across the Mekong River.
The newly renovated Centara Hotel & Convention Centre Udon Thani is
located in the heart of the city, one minute’s walk from the Udon Thani’s largest shopping
and lifestyle centre, Central Plaza, spanning across five floors and comprising a Robinson’s
department store and a TOPS supermarket together with a Major Cineplex and Major Bowl.
ACCOMMODATION
There are 259 newly renovated rooms and suites, each offering a minimum of 32 square metres of space and with
the choice of one king size bed or twin beds. There are also 21 Suites,
ranging from 42 to 128 square metres, with a separate living room and a spacious bedroom equipped with a king bed.
All rooms are equipped with modern facilities ,such as, individually controlled air-conditioning,
electronic bedside control panel, LCD television with satellite TV, in-house movies, wireless
and broadband Internet access, electronic key card, in-room safe, fully stocked minibar, tea and
coffee making facilities in most units, and IDD telephone.
Superior Room
The 158 Superior rooms consist of 34 King rooms and 124 twin-bedded rooms and can hold up to 3 adults
or 2 adults and 1 child. All of the Superior rooms boast 32 square metres of living space including
a workstation. Designed in a light and contemporary décor, each of the fully-appointed rooms features
a spacious bathroom, individually controlled air-conditioning, flat screen TV with satellite channels,
in-room safe, minibar, hairdryer, electronic bedside control panel with alarm clock and wireless,
IDD telephone and broadband Internet access.
Deluxe Room
There are 70 Deluxe rooms featuring up to 32 square metres of living space and equipped with
a choice of King or Twin beds, suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Each of the fully-appointed
rooms is designed in a light and modern décor and has a spacious bathroom, individually controlled
air-conditioning, flat screen TV with satellite channels, in-room safe, mini-bar, tea and coffee making
facilities, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, electronic bedside control panel with alarm clock,
IDD telephone and wireless and broadband Internet access.
Petite Suite
The 2 newly renovated Petite Suites offer 42 square meters of living space and comprise
of a King bedroom best suited to 3 adults OR 2 adults and 1 child. Room amenities include a workstation,
spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, flat screen
TV with satellite channels, DVD player and in-house movies, in-room safe, mini-bar, tea and coffee making

Junior Suite
Each of the 20 Junior Suites is designed in a crisp and light décor and offers living space of up to 72
square metres complete with a King bed, living room as well as a workstation. These newly renovated suites
are ideal for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, featuring all comforts guests may need with a spacious
bathroom equipped with a bathtub and separate shower, individually controlled air-conditioning, two flat
screen TVs with satellite channels and DVD player, in-room safe, mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities,

Executive Suite
The Executive Suite is located on the top floor and spans over 128 square metres including an expansive
72 square metre king-size bedroom and a separate living room. This suite can accommodate up to 3 adults
and 1 child or 2 adults and 2 children and exclusively features a spacious bathroom with a separate bathtub,
a shower and a whirlpool. Room amenities also include individually controlled air-conditioning, two flat
screen TVs with satellite channels, DVD player, and in-house movies, in-room safe, mini-bar, tea and coffee

The Convention Centre together with our experienced
events team make the Centara Hotel & Convention Centre Udon Thani the

At 2,900 square meters, the Udon Thani Convention Centre will hold up to 3,000 guests for a reception
and 5,000 persons for a concert. The 11 metre ceiling makes this a versatile
space, and indoor sports can be staged here. The Tung Sri Muang Grand
Ballroom has a capacity for 600 guests, and a total area of 700 metres
meters. For smaller events, the room divides into two equal sections
as Grand Ballroom 1 and 2, each with a capacity of 300 persons.
There are five additional meeting rooms, each measuring 100 square
metres with a capacity of up to 80 guests per room, making them ideal
for breakout meetings or for seminars or receptions. For a slightly
larger event, the Ban Phue Banquet Room will hold 100 guests within
its 135 square metres, while the 300 square metres Na Yung has a capacity
for 200 guests.

Must improve of service standard. Room rate quite high but amenity in room was below expectation. Hotel should provide more train staff. My room facing Air Con problem and informed hotel to check aftered I came back Air Con in the room was opened, I though problem was fixed until 1a.m. I felt hot again, I checked at the Air Con found Ice that mean problem was not solved but I have no choice (1a.m.) on the next day I complained to GSA staff and she checked with the answer from ENG dept that they will fix this problem after I check out which made me very upset for the stupid answer.

It seems, that all beds have bedbugs! Good night. I changed the room, but in the other bed there were bedbugs, too.
There s a big building site in front of the hotel!

Hotel rooms need updating. Staff do their best but more staff needed.The double room requested was, in fact, a twin room with 2 single beds pushed together. Charges like b40 for disposable razor supplied in room and astronomical internet charges are not in keeping with a hotel of this size
Fitness centre and pool are quite good as is the location.

This hotel needs major renovations. While the lobby and surrounding areas are well kept but somewhat austere, the rooms are in very poor condition. Furnishings are old, uncomfortable, and well beyond normal user-life. Very disappointed by the lack of free internet service. Considering the daily room rate one would be justified in expecting to receive free internet service, particularly if staying at the facility for business purposes.

Have stayed many times. Anybody who reads previous accounts of a noisy nightclub opposite need not worry, it s demolished. Now all the land next to the hotel and shopping complex is in the early stages of groundwork. There is to be a very large development and there was noise from the works maybe 7am. Enough to waken. This rather cuts the hotel off from the town. Location now not much better than Charoen which is much cheaper but maybe not as good. No change to hotel, room ok but not great for the 2,200 I paid at a busy time with conference in town. Maybe best hotel in Udon but rooms and bathrooms now getting tired.

I have stayed here many times but since Centara took the hotel over and put the price up I still can t see there is any change or better service/rooms. The disco across the road is now being demolished so that is a major problem removed for rooms at the front. Best placed hotel in Udon but would be nice to get something extra for the price increase.

The Centara Hotel is a great hotel even if it need some renewal, the rooms is ok,housekeeping is very good, the breakfast is great. The only negative thing is that the restaurant is to cold during the evenings, even farrangs get cold.

We rented rooms with a wedding party. It would have been WONDERFUL if we could have all been put on the same floor with the bride and groom getting the suite. The hotel was far from full and we were very scattered out. We had booked our room over a month in advance and we asked for one queen bed. We were given 2 singles and one friend that had not reserved his room ended up with a queen bed!!
Also, charging so much for the internet service in your lobby was ridiculous! We stayed throughout Thailand and never had to pay such inflated prices for interline services at any other hotel. It s clearly a blatent way to overcharge people.

great place to stay breakfast has improved a great deal from the last time I stayed.
Rooms were quite good we had our young child with us and they supplied a kot free of charge for us.
We will be staying there again next time we are in Udon.

Dark and sad looking, no light in the halls, no air conditioning in halls, poor room service, looks like Hotel was sold and no one is spending any money on improvements. Poor furniture at the pool, and dining needs drastic improvements for dinner and bar service, would not return.. to this facility in its current condition.

As always great location in Udon. The room rates have now gone up since the change to Centara something like 1300 to 1800 and I have to say I can t see any difference for the price increase. I am wary about staying at the front again because of the noise from the nightclub opposite when it is open. I would suggest always request a room away from the front.

Generally the hotel was ok. However, the receptionstaff needs your creditcard and a copy pasport for everything, even when you paid for the room already. It can be dangerous if they have creditcard and copy pasport.Who will garantuee that the information stays confidential? To secure the mini, value max. 200 baht, they also need your creditcard. For internet use they charge you 350 baht for 30 minutes. Unbelievable !!! It should be for free, most hotels offer it for free.
