Koh Lipe- South Thailand

Welcome to the South of Thailand and its forgotten beaches

The south of thailand attracts many tourists on its white sand beaches, along the coasts or on its islands. Most of the tourists all go to the most developed and renowned places of the area, like Khao Lak and Phang Nga, Phuket or Krabi, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta on the East coast, or Koh samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, in the Gulf of Thailand, which have their own chapter in our pages, but the South of Thailand hosts many more islands and hundreds of kilometers of beaches. Some are barely known, making these places the Eden you were expecting when coming to Thailand !

Koh Ngai- South ThailandIn the Andaman Sea, you will find numerous islands, like Koh Ngai, Koh Mook or Koh Kradan, small heavens located South of Koh Lanta, just offshore Trang, or Koh Sukorn deeper in the South, and finally Koh Lipe, last island before Malaysia, a guenine postcard image, many travellers agree to say that it is one of the most beautiful island in the world.

Songkhla- South ThailandOn the East coast, in the Gulf of Siam, you will also find many beaches on the mainland, far less known than the islands, but still gorgeous, while less developed and more authentic, like Khanom just South of Suratthani, offering a stunning view over the archipelagos of the area, or Songkhla further South, and its huge white stretches of sand beach spreading down to Malaysia.

Khao Sok National Park- South ThailandBut the South of Thailand is not just a long beach and also hosts many National Parks like Khao Sok National Park, which is a favorite among nature lovers, who can indeed stay there in bungalows and then enjoy the early hours of the day to start their jungle treck to explore the flora and fauna of the area.
