24th February 2012 Dieter Wischnewski | The hotel s very nice.No beach for swimming
there.but in general it is O.K.. | 7.4/10 |
1st January 2012 LOW YU SIANG | Due to the location, it is only good if you have your own transport as public transport does not exist here. Minibus to Trang town can be arranged with your travel agency or the resort at 150baht/pax. It would be very convenient if you plan to hop to other island, but make sure that the operator is using Pak Meng pier first. | 4.8/10 |
24th January 2011 Shane | The location is great as it is just right infront of the Pak Meng Pier. The staff are friendly and helpful, really appreciated that. | 6.4/10 |
29th November 2010 Alvise Barbaro | The price for this kind of room is very high: hot water only in the shower, no chair, not table, no wardrobe o something like it,no blackout tents so the wake up was at sixa.m.
friedly people, great location but tyhe hotel is not appropriate for western standard | 5.4/10 |
4th October 2010 Harold Stichbury | Just what we were looking for. Staff were friendly, food good and more local vistors than tourists. Value for money, and away from the normal tourist route.dont expect 5 star service but we did not anyway for the price. great views from in front and Trang Easy travel, on the jetty gave excellent long boat hire to islands. | 7.6/10 |
6th February 2010 Barbaro | an hotel cheap but very good for location and facilities for the islands trips. good parking for cars. | 8/10 |
30th December 2008 Peter D. van der Ark | Laytrang resort was well situated in a nice garden. The staff was very friendly and helpfull in organizing excursions in the beautiful environment and national park. The food in the restaurant was very good.
Some negative aspects: Inform clients that the beach in front of the hotel is not for swimming (we knew before, but this can be disappointing for others), and the rooms (bungalows) should be better maintained. Especially the window coverage against mosquitos was mostly damaged so that mosquitos could come in and keep us from sleeping.
21st December 2008 Catherine Mone | Very friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are small and could be cleaner, and the vinyl pillow protectors are an odd choice, but this is a fine place for a quick night before you head out to the islands.
24th May 2008 A Weld Forester | I found the Laytrang Resort hotel very disappointing.
I got no welcome, there was no atmosphere at all. The rooms were very basic and the service average at best.
26th December 2006 Lars Hartwig | Ok Bungalows, clean rooms, but beds to hard. Nice garden.
Food was ok but service was bad. They did not speak english.
Close to Pak Meng pier, helpful peoples
in village. Recommend jaravee Tour very serviceminded family, they have sightseeing tours around the islands.

17th December 2006 Elly Robinson | Room was basic but functional and clean with a bathroom as big as the bedroom, but it s worth it for the super laid-back atmosphere, the beautiful gardens, lovely staff and great restaurant. The views from the beach are spectacular, and the area is great, but the beach was very shallow and no water at high tide - it was a long walk or motorbike ride to get to a beach where you could swim. Easy access to some beautiful islands though. My time here was a highlight of the trip - if you want a truly laid back atmosphere, this is the place.
