9 Janvier 2011 Robert Hogner | W loved the location and ambiance. It is worth the effort to find it! The hotel owners for this guest village were very hospitable.
A slightly better set of directions....we used 1km south of Thailand Tourist Police, on river as a marker.
We hope the Village is able to survive CM s development pressures! | 8.8/10 |
10 Novembre 2010 Rainer Bunzel | The staff:never seen such a kind and helpful person before. A quiet place, not far from the city, clean and fantastic situated nearby Ping river. A place to visit again. | 9.6/10 |
16 Fevrier 2010 Richard | I stayed here for two whole weeks in February and can t recommend it highly enough. For a very reasonable price you get your own mud hut style bungalow, set in a beautiful garden right by the river. The owners live on site and are extremely friendly and helpful. | 9.4/10 |
4 Janvier 2010 Frances Perry | Highly recommmend | 10/10 |
29 Decembre 2009 Simon Philip Roy | The traditional mud huts added to the Thai experience. The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and informative. | 8/10 |
21 Juillet 2009 Susanne Strandqvist | Very very nice people. They help you in all situations. klean and frech all the time. They are just like your own family. | 9.4/10 |
8 Mai 2009 Robertson | Fantastic place to stay, really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The service was as good as a top class hotel and the location is simply blissful.
15 Janvier 2009 Rachel Mifsud | Such a pleasent stay. Super friendly hosts, ready to help with all the information you need. Definately will return if I have the chance!
19 Novembre 2008 Lotta and Teemu, FIN | Very peaceful place, made us feel like home. Dogs were great and so were the owners. Clean and nice bungalows with basic breakfast. Anything we needed to know, the owners told us or they found it out. Stayig here for the next time in Chiang Mai for sure!
28 Octobre 2008 Gwenda Hollick | The perfect place when you don t want to stay in a hotel room that is the same as every other room the world over. The family, staff and very friendly family dogs made you feel welcome and feel as if you are experiencing the real Thailand. A wonderful place to stay, a short distance from night markets, the old city etc and with a short stroll through the garden to the Ping River. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who would prefer a fantastic Thailand experience rather than a chocolate-on-the-pillow style characterless hotel.
7 Octobre 2008 Aleksey Reznik | Very good experience. Outstanding location among rice fields and mountains. Good for relaxing at the nature.
28 Mars 2008 Jeremy from Canada | Very clean and roomy bungalows. They where very helpfull with picking our tours and made us feel like family while at the resort! We where in Chiang Mai to do day-touring, and the Scorpion Tailed boat village was the ideal base we needed to see the area! These people know their town,, and were a great help for making plans! The free internet computer was very usefull too!
We travelled around Thailand for 24 days, and spent 3 nights here,,,this was by far the cleanest of all the bungalows with the most friendly and best service we had!
The only problem which is out of their hands,, is the music from across the river in the evenings! But we were so beat from our day touring,,, we still had no problem getting to sleep!
With no pool or tv,, this isn t the place to plan to lounge around at, but if your there to see the area,, its a good place to come back to after your tours!

28 Janvier 2008 Martin Palmer | Very secluded by river. May be difficult to find but if you say its by the the Farham temple this will get you there. Owners very welcoming and if you like quiet this is the place for you (even no TV in room but I did not notice at first). Easy to get Tuk Tuks to the night bizarre. I would stay again.
6 Janvier 2008 Ian Henry | Rustic, family run resort, located on the river, with boat-themed huts in a garden setting. Pleasant, thoughtful staff. Northern traditions adhered to.
Tuk-tuk ride from eateries, markets and shopping. Resort-wide WIFI a bonus.
14 Juin 2007 Markus Mueller | This is coming home in Thailand...
The very friendly owners of Scorpion Tail have a natural feeling of hospitality.Without disturbing you in your privacy they are always there for you for questions, bookings, good advices and a friendly word.
Or a little playing around with their great, cute dog.
They manage to give you the feeling of being family within the shortest time.
The rooms are very clean and cosy.
Breakfast is made with love.
We first stayed one night when we left for a 4day trip by car.
Coming back we looked forward to stay another night here,as we said before, the feeling of coming home a bit.
Just great!!!
Also recommendable is the trip on the scorpion tail boat wich is owned by them.
Don t doubt to book this nice place...

19 Decembre 2006 Leesa Horn | I can highly recommend the Scorpian Tailed Boat Village and can t wait to visit again. The rooms are clean with mosquito nets over the beds. There was water in the fridge for us. We enjoyed meeting other guests at breakfast. The owners were friendly and helpful. They took us to the airport when we couldn t get a taxi. After having a bit of a banana crisis in OZ we enjoyed eating the home grown bananas at the village and finished off our trip with a Scorpian Tailed Boat ride, which was very entertaining. We were able to book tours from the Village and it was within walking distance to the night bazaar and another market before it. We were only in Chiang Mai for a short time but we loved it. I m looking forward to my next visit.
17 Decembre 2006 Gary Percival | I highly recommend the Scorpian Tailed Boat Village. Was there for a week and had an excellent and enjoyable time.
A small villa on the banks of the Ping River. A short distance from the Night Market area. You can walk it in about 20 minutes or take a tuk tuk or taxi. There are about 7 individual very nice equipted cabins on the property. The owners make you feel like family and I love the two dogs they have.
They can also arrange the many tours that are available. Highly recommend the elephant riding and rafting tour, very enjoyable. The trip to Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle and hill tribe villages was nice and interesting but ONE VERY LONG DAY.
I DEFINENTLY will be going back to the Scorpian Tailed Boat Village next time.
