15 Avril 2012 Ambika Subrahmanya | The hotel is in very good location and beautiful garden. Very peaceful atmosphere. Good for relaxing. | 8.6/10 |
22 Janvier 2012 Lionel Bates | Very relaxing, staff really friendly and helpful. Just on the side of the river Kwai beautiful. Very highly recommend.
Only comment there are two pang waan hotels in Kanchanaburi very confusing for people who do not know. | 8.4/10 |
24 Juillet 2011 Charlotte Johansson | We only staid 1 night but its a big hotel, its have good breakfast and pool area. The massage is great. Many moskitos!!!!! | 9/10 |
23 Avril 2011 Anthony Potts | We had an excellent stay at this resort, having your own transport makes it a lot easier as it is a little way out of town, but right on the river and only a couple of KMs from the bridge, would stay at this resort again | 10/10 |
19 Mars 2011 Kerry Morgan | Very disappointing. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The rooms dark and depressing. The food was unimpressive. All in all the worst place we stayed in Thailand. | 2.6/10 |
1er Janvier 2011 Lisa Finn | The resort iself is situated beautifully on the bank of the River Kwai. Rooms were spacious, staff were very pleasant and helpful. We attended a New Year s eve party, and it felt that everything was fully geared to Pung Waan s oriental customers as everything was in their language. We has apparently won a prize on the raffle, but because it wasn t read in english as well as Thai/Manderin etc, we didn t realise. We also experienced the restaurant once for dinnner and was very disappointed when the food came out cold as they had limited staff due to a hotel function, and it didn t help that the staff didn t understand us. It would ve helped if someone had asked us how they could put it right, but they couldn t. It does seem that Pung Waan management need to access it s overall customer service, to really understand it s customers. If you can t offer the same level of service to British or American people then perhaps it might be best not to entertain us. It was supposed to be a nice resort covering the new year to break up our travels and we left there sorely disappointed. We won t be going back in a hurry! | 6.4/10 |
25 Septembre 2010 Tersia Botes | We had a lovely time. The rooms are big and the staff friendly and helpfull. | 8.4/10 |
27 Juillet 2010 Selena M. Schaefer | Beautiful resort, friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, pool. Nothing to complain here. | 8.8/10 |
15 Avril 2010 Pareshkumar Shah | we like resort is beautiful and amazing | 9.2/10 |
18 Fevrier 2010 Per Ehlers | We were disappointed about the announced breakfast serving time - it said 6-10, but as we arrived at 7, there was nothing to have - and we had to leave for the airport with empty stomachs. | 6.8/10 |
8 Fevrier 2010 Dominic Grogan | pung wann is agreat resort, set in beautiful gardens by the river, the service was very good and the staff very pleasent they all had time for our little boy, nice swimming pool ,nice rooms good breakfast ,we were really happy with our stay there.the only fault is that the staff could only speak very little english,so communication could be difficult!but would definattly stay there again... | 6.4/10 |
15 Janvier 2010 Reinhard Wilfinger | Great surrounding, the park is beautiful; rooms clean, but terrible air con (old, noisy, smells); staff nice but speaks English not very well; | 7.4/10 |
30 Decembre 2009 Karin Hatzold | This is a wonderful place in a beautiful environment. The rooms are large, spacious, clean, nicely decorated. The swimming pool area just beautiful and a large pool with spotlight for night swimming. We stayed in a room with view on the river and I recommend this option. Just perfect to relax. Not too far from Kanchanaburi town centre either. The staff could do better with a little English lesson. communication were a little limited but we finally could understand each other. | 10/10 |
22 Octobre 2009 James Bordycott | We picked this hotel to be a quiet place but close to Kanchanaburi - perfect in both respects - lots of room to walk and enjoy the river frontage - great facilities and staff -food excellent - on line internet service was down when we arrived but they fixed it within a day; and the hotel developer has an interesting adjacent real estate opportunity for home buyers - check it out !!! We ll make this place our home next time we are staying in k- buri. | 8.6/10 |
15 Aout 2009 Viktor Vansevicius | Think everything was OK, but i wondered that i booked a better room as normal, but saw all rooms are the same because all rooms have been empty and i could look into. so i was a bit wondering that i paid more formy room which looks the same as the others. | 6/10 |

| Wasn t that impressed with this hotel, for the money, we had stayed in much nicer. Hotel staff weren t that helpfull, pool wasn t that clean, bedrooms needed a make-over. And so far out of town you can t walk (and the Taxi fair was fortunes). Hotel was empty and isolated. | |
17 Mars 2009 Wetzel | We stayed there second time. The hotel is very nice and daytimes very quiet and you only hear birds. We were the only guests over the daytime. At first night it was also very quiet in the hotel. Second night, there was a big group of japanese people, and you could forget the quiet atmosphere....shouting people into the deep night all over the hotel.
The rooms are nice and clean, the bathroom is ok, the garden is very nice and the pool was for us two alone .-)
The breakfast was ok, but the restaurant was not so clean as last time we stayed there. Very dirty tableclothes...no go..urgh..on the day we lost hotel, the gardener was spraying poison against mosquitos...they had forgotten, that there were persons and we two guests in the hotel?????????????? Crazy smoke...stinking situation....
But for that all, the staff was friendly and helpfull and we would enter this hotel again, when we are on a trip throuh Thailand.
9 Decembre 2008 Brian Jensen | it was a good experience getting to that hotel, very nice staff, good food and good rooms.
the hotel has seen better days it seems a bit old but still in good condition.
the staff was very polite, gentle and always smiling and helpfull not everyone speaks english so can be hard to communicate with them sometimes.
the rooms was nice, and comfy. i missed some channels on television ex. cnn since we where at the hotel duing the strike at the airport.
there are a tour compagny in the lobby, which i dont trust/ felt ripped off after i had used them. they take advantage on customers there since they know they are alone on the service there, but again we could have used a compagny from town.
18 Octobre 2008 Tova Shaul | This is avery nice hotel. the staff was very nice and helpfull
7 Septembre 2008 Britt Suzanne Mackley | Nice hotel but not for the price. The price was higher than at the Felix and it was not as good as the Felix. The spa was not very good. The airconditioning went out in the women s room so we had to move to the men s room. She had me walk through the upstairs lobby in the nude, with only the paper panties, moving from one room to the other. The massage was not very good either. The airconditioning was too cold and she kept putting a cold towel on me after she finished putting oil on me. It was not pleasant. It also did not seem to be a trained therapist. When we go to a resort we like to go to a place where they have a good spa so I don t believe we will go back to this hotel.
