We were there 5.-10. of December. Enjoyed very much to be there: very kind and helpfull personal. Thank You once again. Nice enviroment and place where we could enjoy wonderfull garden and view to the see. Only the place was a little bit faw away from centre, but there was a taxi connection from hotel to the centre and back.

We booked the presidential suite villa for 3 nights. When we entered this gigantic complex, we were expecting to discover a wonderful place: high prices lead to high expectations, don t they?
The first sign that should have warned us is the ripped open sofa on which we were seated upon our arrival at the reception. We then were lead to the villa, that was decorated with the utmost lack of taste, reminiscent of East Germany - would even have said North Korean style, but we haven t been there so we can t really tell...
The shower was smelly, there was dust on the furniture, and the wallpapers/paint were showing signs of age quite badly... Apart from the origami style folding of the towels, everything in the room was tacky... What a shame for a presidential suite!
It doesn t end there though: the private pool was already in the shadow at 2PM.
We then decided to grab a bite nearby, and walked all the way around the other (empty!) bungalows only to find a concrete beach and a muddy sea (please take note: there is NO sandy beach around the hotel) and a desperately closed restaurant. No need to tell you how far this was from the paradise we had dreamed of! It really felt like we were stuck in North Korea! And I am sorry but a couple of peacocks living in the (poorly decorated as well) garden will never make up for the lack of warmth in the overall atmosphere...
After this disappointing experience, we decided to pack and leave for a better hotel in Lonely Beach the same day, although they still charged us the full 3 nights!
If you want to enjoy a nice, romantic hotel, this is not the place to go and to be honest I would NEVER recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, staffs are very kind, stay in this hotel had became our happiest thing in Koh Chang. just a little far from the beach.

5 star service
Staff took initiative to recognise our faces and came to look for us at White Sands Beach area (about 2km away) to check if we needed complimentary shuttle back to resort. But we drove so kindly declined his offer.
When it was raining when we returned to the resort, staff was ready with 2x buggies to fetch us back to our rooms.
We were given afternoon snacks complimentary.

Some good things in the beginning, because there will be a lot of bad things.
- The peacocks are very cool. There are a lot of peacocks in the garden, vandering around freely.
- We didn t have problems with the staff and the breakfast, this was correct.
- The bungalow, compared with the pictures, are poor, old, worn, and too close to the others.
- There was a big tub in the bath, with some bubble, but there was NOT ENOUGH WARM WATER TO FILL IT until the nozzle! I had to fill 1/3, and wait 2 more time to warm the water, and fill the tub. I don t understand, in a tropical island, where we would like to conserve the nature, electrical heating???????????
- The thermostat of the air conditioning is right above the fridge, make it impossible to adjust normally, and it was very noisy.
- The pool was not clean enough, and one day it was completely green from alagae. That day the staff pour a bucket of chlorine into the pool owerflow, 1meter away from playing children.
- The garden is not so nice, the organic garden was full of weed, I saw nothing eatable inthere, I doubt they grow anything to the restaurant there. The floral garden is nice, pity that surrounded with wall, and to get there have to walk through the petrol station. Anyway, a hotel for this price, without a nice beach, could, and should be looks like this, for the whole hotel!
These are small, forgiveable problems to a nice hotel, where we spend good times on the nice tropical beach.
In a hotel where the beach is missing, they sould care everything else with extra effort.
Because people, HEY this hotel have NO TROPICAL BEACH! The waterside of this hotel is concrete, with a 5meter long walk-in part, with rough sand, and some meter away from the waterside becomes sludgy, and the water is not clean.
We was inthere one time for 5 minutes on the whole 8 days we stayed there.
Anyway, we stayed 2 times half day on the poolside during 8 days because we didn t like the whole hotel. We hired motorbike, went ewery day somewhere else.
Finally, I don t say it s a bad hotel, but I say for that price there are a lot of mutch-mutch better hotels on the island.

When we just arrived we were surprice to learn we couldn´t walk the distance to white sand beach but after a day we learned to appriciate the silence, peace and wonderful nature where the hotel was placed. The staff did every thing to make our 10 days in this wonderful hotel the best honeymoon holiday we could dream of. We love Thailand and the all the friendly thai´s we meet every where.

Good and calm hotel with a nice view. The services is there with the hopistality of the Thai People
But the quatlity and the facilities are average, they have so many opportunities to do a better job and to work on it (Pizza with Keptchup.... no way sorry, no fish plats everyday and other details more interesting to help them).

Beautiful resort, with very friendly and professionel staff. We got upgraded for free,to a big bungalow with a nice balcony and good view, and had a great stay for 8 days. There is a free shuttle bus to the centre/White Sand Beach, several times a day,a good thing, when this resort is 15 min away from everything. It´s surroundings are beautiful. There is free cayaks,so you can explore the hidden beaches.Peacocks are wandering around, the first morning we woke up with one sitting on our balcony,so nice!Breakfast and food was delicious.
The rooms are clean and good standard,we got chocolate or fruit every day.
We will recommend this resort to everybody who prefer a queiet and relaxing stay.

Very nice staff at the reception and the restaurants. Good English skills. Beautiful pool and rooms. Very clean. Nice beach and see. If you like swimming in the see you will be dissapointed. Overall very quiet, we loved it but maybe to quiet for some of you.

Beautiful resort, well designed. Great swimming, for children too. We had a wonderful time. Servants very kind and most helpful.Location is far from the main villages. First departure of the shuttle bus rather late (11.00 o lock),
17 Fevrier 2010 Denes
The resort is beautiful. The shore is not, so you have to go to White Sand Beach, whihc is nice, but very commercialized.
Or you should go for the Private Pool Villa, which is very exclusive and very spacious and nice.
As many said before me, breakfest is a shame and the staff - although tries- is not 5 star quality.
All in all we have spent very nice 5 days there and enjoyed it.

Great hotel! Lies by itself by a beautiful bay, a few hundred meters off the main road. Silent and peaceful since no tourist bars are nearby. Very friendly staff, played a lot with our 18 month old son. Great food too. The mandatory new years eve gala dinner sounded like a ripoff at first at 3500 baht, but turned out to be a great party with lots of shows, music, food and fireworks!
Only downside: no babysitting :)

What a pity! The beach, being in a bay, looks uninviting. The water is murky and perhaps unsuitable for swimming. The resort would have been great if not disadvantaged by its location.
31 Octobre 2009 Erika Camilla Napik
Very nice hotel, staff very service minded and helpful. Beautiful view over the bay -location a bit off, depends what you re looking for. Dining at the resort more expensive than at White sand beach, but it easy to get to White sand beach but shuttle or taxi.
We enjoyed our stay and will absolutely come back.
21 Octobre 2009 Fabian Blume
Very nice but really out of the way. If you want to do anything else than relaxing at the hotel or doing the activities provided (which tehre are a few for good reasons), it is difficult to get around.
Staff was willing to help but not very attentive.

Let me make the summery first - WE CAN NOT RECOMMENT THIS RESORT!!
All the nice AWARDS like - green leaf or non Smoking Hotel - is just paint over the bad conditions we find there.
The Hotel must fulfill the promisses from there leaflet then it would be A good stay.
We booked the Oriental Villa for 6 nights. The room it self was nice and spacy. The service was professional friendly - maybe they are bored by the VERY low season. At the first day we claim that the Hot Water is not working. Staff get bussy with the heater - without success - the Water was never more then 30 degree centigarde!! We claimed the following days again without A positive result. In the bathroom is A Jacuzzi which was useless - the water comming in was cold and brown. Claiming about that showes that it may never work before, cause the receptionist offers instandly to use 30min(!) free of charge the jacuzzi in the Spa - what A joke! The high degree Bath room was one reason for my booking! It was NOT possible to use the Aircon and the Hotwater maker at the same time, it caused A fuse switch! That s make the downgrade of the Room quality to POOR! Even the breakfast was far from expect, Thai Food was neutral in test, Western Food - except Muesli and any kind of friend eggs, not in offer and even to count as poor. The pool water appears as dull especially around the Pool bar. The unlikely weather (not the responsebility of the Hotel ;-) ) on top make as leaving the hotel - even we waste some money - one day prior!

This is a lovely hotel, worthy of its five stars. Excellent breakfast with wide variety. Good sized rooms with coffee/tea facilities and fruit and chocolate delivered every day, as well as TV and DVD facilities and balcony. Kind and helpful staff. Lovely pool which though freeform is both good for playing as well as exercise as it is big and has mini-pools for kids attached. Small but clean beach, good facilities to do other things - trampolining, swinging, bikes (though these not in great condition!) Very lush surroundings. Restaurant has very good food but too expensive compared to other local options (but then that is why we went out most nights!) Had a lovely holiday - thoroughly recommend
