Smile Beach Resort is located on Haad Salad, Koh Phangan It is a beautiful and secluded beach good for swimming in high tidal seasons (November to April) with a reef about 150 metres offshore that is a well-known dive site.

Smile beach Restaurant:
Smile Beach restaurant is between restaurant and bar, to design Thai-nna style and outside the great views of the beautiful garden surrounded. You can enjoy to playing pool table, DVD player and game, to watching television (sport & movie) and relax to the sound of music in the seating area or the traditions Thai-Lanna (north of Thailand) style Sala.
Good taste of drinks, cocktails and fresh coffee (highly quality coffee bean from Bangkok and stream fresh milk, serve with cookies, more sugar and coffee creamer). Menu at the Smile beach restaurant is delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is an extensive choice of popular Thai
food, seafood and international food. Thai dishes such as Pad Thai, Papaya salad, Tom yum Kung or any of dishes on the extensive menu. The food comes hot to the table and everything testes fresh. Prices are quite reasonable for such surroundings and our friendly services. That makes you feel welcome.

Smile Beach Resort is located on Haad Salad, Koh Phangan, Surat Thani,Thailand. When arrive at Koh Phangan pier, take Taxi service from Thong sala - Haad Salad. Getting to Koh Phangan : Koh Phangan is about
2 1/2 hours from Surat Thani Province and 45 minutes from Koh Samui Island by boat.
There are ferries between Suratthani, Samui and Phangan. You can also go by a speed-boat from Bophut pier on Samui. Buy your ticket at any travel agency. Try to book a bungalow or room in advance. There are
a lot of people staying overnight so it can be difficult to get a bungalow in the early morning.
Very conveniant bungalow for family : with connected rooms. Very closed to the beach which is also very nice. Restaurant not tested as we prefered to eat on the beach. Unfortunality need to pay for any service : toilet paper, wi-fi...
We spent 3 good nights at this hotel.

Smile beach is a real good name because there are always smilling and they try to communicate (I m french and my english is medium). They re location is good, not on the beach (100m) so nobody walk in front... If i go back to Pha Ngan, I ll choose this bungalows again.

We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were lovely and helped us out when we booked a bogus fishing trip and recovered our money. The rooms we cheap for air con and were clean, set in a beautiful garden and only 1 minute walk to beach, also lovely!

Hatten im Family Lux. Bungalow in der ersten Nacht 6 Kakarlaken (1 im Bad, 2 im Vorraum und 3 in einem der Schlafzimmer). Jemand vom Team ist jedoch um 23 Uhr noch gekommen, um alles einzusprayen und die Räume abzusuchen. Am nächsten Tag dann nochmals. Hatten danach keine Tiere mehr. In Thailand kann dies passieren, die Reaktion des Teams war hervorragend. Für den Preis kann ich das Smile Beach Resort nur empfehlen. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und das Team sehr freundlich. War unser zweiter Aufenthalt dort.

We rented the Family Deluxe Air-Con Bungalow--two rooms, two bath separated by a kitchenette. It was perfect for our family. We liked the wood frame and trees.
We had to ask for the room to be cleaned/changed, but the housekeeping staff did it quickly and happily. The sheets and towels are low quality. The fans, new A/C, refrigerator and bathrooms worked perfectly.
We liked being off the beach in a nice quiet courtyard. The food was also affordable compared to restaurants on the beach. I would not recommend the travel services though--not very knowledgable. The owner and son are very sweet.

The resort is only 2 min. walk from the beach. It is a very nice beach, friendly for chields. Very friendly and helpsom staff, you can ask for nearly everything. The bungalow was very, very clean and you find a nice garden too. This place get our best recommendations.

This was a really great place to stay. Only a 2 minute walk from the beach. The bungalows are pretty basic, but nice overall. Haad Salad is a very nice beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. WARNING: If you stay here, DO NOT rent a motorbike from Haad Salad Shop & Travel OR Haad Salad Travel. If you put 1 small scratch in it they will charge you $US 600. There is no way out of it either, as they hold your passport. We were told that this happens at least 3 times a week to tourists. The best thing to do is NOT rent a motorbike. If you absolutely must rent one, we were told that Haad Salad Villa was a good place to rent from.

excellent place to stay, quite a quiet resort but all the better for it. bungalows were really good and comfortable (try to get air con as is very hot) and restaurant and staff were excellent. 350 baht p/p for return trip to full moon party. would definitely recommend.

Beautiful huts and gardens with really lovely staff. This resort was relaxing and very child friendly, with just a short walk to the beach, which was just paradise.
The restaurant was really good and value for money. Staff couldn t do enough to make our time there great. My children are still talking about Myo! Will definately return here. Only thing that would make Smile Beach better would be a swimming pool!

Very nice place.
We stayed ther for 17 nights. The staff was very helpful and service minded. The bungalows was nice and clean and situated in a nice garden, near to the beach.
The restaurant has extremely good food, their chef manages to cook both traditional Thaifood and western style food deliciously.
We will certainly return if we travel in this region of the world again.

Both myself and my boyfriend had a great time in the Smile Beach Resort. We ended up staying an extra 2 nights. The guys in the restaurant certainley made us some great Thai food. The Bungalows are great, with a nice decking area to chill on. A stones through away from a very nice, quiet, shallow beach. Definatly reccomened this as part of your trip.

Cute bungalows with nice decks and great location - only about 2 minute walk to haad salad beach. but, not the cleanest place. we stayed for 6 nights and they did not come to clean our place once - no taking out the trash, no replacing the toilet paper, no sweeping - nothing. if they want you to throw toilet paper in the trash instead of flushing it, they should at least take the trash out and if they are not going to sweep, they should leave a broom in there for you to sweep yourselves. i probably would not stay there again, but we still had a great time. the beach is beautiful and has great snorkeling.

Nice resort set back from the beach but not too far. Staff are good and friendly and it has all the facilities that you need. All the chalets are wooden constructions but with air con and showers along with your own balcony and hammock. Quiet area with only 4-5 places to eat and drink but a few more behind the resort. A nice place to chill out away from the crowds.

We spent a lovely week at Smile Beach Resort in march 2008! our bungalow was exactly as described in the net. The only thing we missed was a mosqito net!!! The staff was very friendly and the food was good! We recommend!

Smile Beach Resort is a wonderful place. The setting of the whole resort was quite relaxing, the staff were friendly, the service was good, and the food they served is also delicious.
This resort is ran by a family of four and their staff, so the setting is informal and friendly, we even played frisbee with Tom, the restaurant manager. We will definitely stay at this resort again.
Tips to other travelers:
1. Book the resort s transfer service to and from the pier because it s cheaper (we didn t do that and ended up paying twice the amount).
2. Buy your necessities such as drinking water (the resort doesn t provide them), sunblock and cooling lotion at the Thongsala town as the stores near the resorts charge twice the amount too.
3. Don t forget to try out the night market food stalls in Thongsala town.
Enjoy your stay as we did!

Smile Beach Resort is a relaxing and laid back resort. The rooms are furnished simply with beds, aircon, fan, a small safety box, and a bathroom with a bath tub. The resort also has an internet cafe and a restaurant. You can easily walk around the whole area as the resort is not very big. In fact, it is very cozy. The Thai lanai structures give the resort a distinctive flair when compared to neighboring resorts. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food, snacks, and drinks that are sure to satisfy every palette. We d definitely go back to Smile Beach Resort. The wonderful place and awesome service made our stay memorable.
