The Free House is beautifully situated at one of the most peaceful and beautiful beaches of Koh Samui, Bo Phut Beach. Close to the airport, close to the island's main city and harbour Nathon and close to the more lifely Chaweng Beach. As Chaweng is getting busier every year, the clean and pacid Bo Phut Village nearby the Free House still breathes the original Thai island atmosphere. The Main road is comfortably just a 2 minutes walk from your bungalow and you get a cheap ride with a "song taew" or Thai taxi anywhere you want.

At the nort side of the island you get a breathtaking view at the next island Koh Phangan, right from where you are having lunch and dinner at our seaside restaurant. While you are enjoying a refreshing cocktail at the bar you can see how the gold painted main attraction of Samui, Big Buddha, is changing color towards the evening. Together with the golden beach - sand and the beautiful blue sea you will have an unforgettable holiday at the Free House

Our Free House Samui Restaurant is known allover the island for it's outstanding quality and offers you a wide variety of original Thai style food, very tasty and always fresh. Every day our cooks go to the market to buy fresh squid, king prawn, shrimps, snapper or fish from your own chice! Would you like a special BBQ with friends at the beach? No problem at the Free House! Just in form our staff and you will enjoy an unforgettable dish by moonlight.

Of course we also serve European food. All according to Western standards concerning hygiene ( all our vegetables are rinsed with bottled clean water, just to mention one of our principles). The taste of our food and the scenery in which you enjoy it are unique on Samui. In the Free House Beach Bar, which is next to the restaurant, we serve you a wide variety of refreshing drinks, including some surprising and tantalizing cocktails.

3 Avril 2012 Reinhard Benesch	I only was there for one night, and wouldnt go there again. Room was ok but Staff was very unfriendly, didnt like to answer any questions and always wanted to sell me tickets for the ferry.	5.2/10

4 Novembre 2011 Luc & Ginger	We stayed in a fan bungalow that came with a mosquito net for 400baht. Great price. Porch outside had a hammock that we made good use of. Everything worked. Sand on the beach is a little coarse and hurts the feet, but the water was pretty nice. Restaurants in the nearby area are much cheaper and the food is just as good so we didn t really eat at the resort because the food was really overpriced. The bungalow was cheap so we d stay there again, but I wouldn t recommend eating in the restaurant, and the bungalows don t have wifi. Oh and water is expensive! Buying from the marts nearby is like a tenth the cost. Fishermans village is more of a 20min then 10min walk so we only went once but it was fun.	7.2/10
4 Novembre 2011 P T Langhorn	Very nice place, enjoyed our time there, always disappointed not to have wi-fi in our room but it works well in the restaurant and when sat right on the beach who really wants the internet anyway! they have dogs which let it down for us. Plus food rather pricey for us backpackers. Nice bungalows though, cosey atmosphere rather than larger resorts without being too personal. cleaned regularly and restaurant directly onto beach. Bike rented worked adequately for entire stay.	7.6/10

The woman at reception who we ordered a taxi with for the next morn at 430 clearly didn t book it even though she took 500 baht off us. Leaving us waiting half an hour and having to deal with drunken thai men sat in reception/restaurant who would not help us. One man got very aggressive who was in charge of property too and shouted in my face we were scared he was going to hit me! Needless to say that what is a nice place does not contain nice people and provided us with quite a scary ordeal at 430 in the morning! The restaurant is also v standard food completely overpriced.	5.4/10
