CHEVALAZ MURIEL | Bel hotel mais excentre.possibilite de prendre des taxis collectifs a 20 bth par personne le trajet. Tres grande chambre. Jolie piscine. Hoteliers charmants et disponible. Internet gratuit. Petit dejeuner tres correct et bon. Embarcadere pour railey beach tout pres. Je recommande vivement cet hotel charmant. | 9/10 |

Neil Moray Stewart | Nice place to spend a few days, very handy for the longtail boat trips to East Railay and the best beaches – but you will not be alone due to the many boat trips. Local bus (Songthaew) from Krabi via Ao Nang passes by the hotel on the way to the Shell Cemetery and returns a few minutes later, so transport is not a problem during the day. Good rooms, nice pool and attentive staff.
Local 7 Eleven Store nearby for all your needs.
A few local restaurants nearby, if not suitable then a trip to the overrated town of Ao Nang is required for more choice.

Teerawat Issariyakul | The room is nice for the money. The hosts in the hotel is nice. They are friendly and informative. But, the problem could be the culture of Krabi people. They d like to up-sale they service. Most of them do not tell you about the public transportation. They try to offer you taxi run by their relatives. But the hotel receptionists was nice enough to tell me hot to get around using public transportation.
From the map to hotel is very close to Railey beach. But we cannot get there. The only way to get there is by boat. And, the pier to get to Railey is in the walking distance. Another problem is that there is not much things to do at night. We had to take public transportation to get to Ao Nang and Krabi to have dinner and shopping. | 6.4/10 |

Vera Vetrova | Гостиница для тех, кому нужен небольшой тихий отель в тихом месте. Напротив причал, с которого можно на лодках попасть на многочисленные острова или в поездку по нескольким островам. До АО Нанга и Краби тауна ездит муниципальный сонгтау (тук-тук), цена - от расстояния, но самое большее бат 60. Отель новый, в этом есть определенное преимущество - все новое, свежее, работает. Номера с видом на море (через дорогу) или в сад с бассейном. Хороший ресторан с большим меню и умеренными ценами. Персонал предупредителен. По ТВ нет русского канала, для кого это актуально. Сейфы в номере. Никаких залогов ни за что не берут, правда, есть табличка с предупреждением о стоимости потерь и разрушений.Есть интернет, в т.ч. в номерах | 8.4/10 |

Richard Jenkinson | Room a good size, with aircon but not remote control. Balconies overlook pool at the back of the hotel or roadside at the front. Bathroom design has a tiled partition to separate the shower area from the toilet and washbasin, but no difference in floor level to keep the water within the shower part.
Barking dog at the back of the property at night but not a major issue like some places.
Breakfast was good as there was a choice of having a bowl of yoghourt and fruit instead of the normal eggs etc.
Ao Nammao was exceptionally quiet, which could be viewed as a positive or negative depending on individual tastes. That part of Thailand has a greater population of muslims, so you hear the call to prayer over the loudspeakers throughout the day, and some restaurants do not serve alcohol, although the number of restaurants in Ao Nammao is very limited. Hotel restaurant food is nice.
The hotels’ own website states that the airport bus connects with all incoming/departing flights and the cost is 150 baht. However not if you have an early morning flight. My Thai flight left at 10:10 and the first bus does not arrive at the hotel until 10am, so you either need a taxi or sorng tao at 600 baht, or rely on the fact that the hotel can arrange a mini van. That worked out at 150 baht, but only if it picks up other customers as well, otherwise it might be 300 + baht for 1 person.
There is a pier nearby for trips to local islands but other hotel guests commented that it is often difficult to rely on the long tail boats for transport options.

Anna Hopfgarten | Very nice hotel 10 min by taxi from Ao Nang. We liked not living in the most crowded parts, less touristy and no salesmen trying to sell costumes all the time.
The hotel staff was always very helpful and the massage offered via the hotel was perfect for me. Breakfast was served from 7 am - 10.30 am, but as our flight left early, they were kind to serve us at 6 am.
The pool was never crowded, and if you want to explore islands or Railay beach, there is a small port just down by the beach, where longtail boats can take you (Nammao beach is nothing to sunbade or even hang around by).

David Pinel | Outer location, OK if you hire a scooter to go to Ao Nang or Krabi. Good if you are going to Railay Bay. Restaurant closed at 5pm for some strange reason and there was very little close by.Room was good and very clean. Eduard Belov | Hotel very much. The location is quiet and calm. Swimming pool is clean and a lot more than in other hotels. Territory groomed. The rooms clean and quite spacious. Staff is not intrusive. Rooms clean up quality. Hotel owner personally involved and make sure that all the holidaymakers was good. Decent food. Unlike conventional sets Thai food menu, the hotel contains elements of European cuisine. All ordered dishes were very tasty cooked. Feature deployment hotel is that you can reach from exactly 3 miles to the Ao Nang beach and all its attractions. And if you want you can not go anywhere and relax from the bustle. Prior to Rai Lay beach 10 minutes to go by sea. Prices in the hotel and around low, on average 20% lower than in Phuket. The locals are very friendly. Transportation is not expensive. You can directly at the hotel to take Motobike. Internet and wireless. Plus retsepshine on a separate computer with internet. In using the Internet there are no restrictions. I and the family were very pleasant experience. Thanks to the hotel owners for the warm welcome. warm welcome. | 9.4/10 |

The food in the restaurant was very good.Problem with longtailboat too Railey you must be 8 people on the boat before it leave the pier.It is better take the bus to Ao Nang and take a boat.It is quicker. | 7/10 |

The owner is very thoughtful and kind, free bike to use for tour nearby. Nice and easy during our 6 nights stay. Great pool, great food, convenient transportation. Room is clean and tidy, well equipped with mini bar, Vi-Fi internet access.
Negative:
Something upset:laundry took 3 days to come back and ruined one white shirt completely. Guests can actually take all the laundry items to town, can be collected within three hours, only cost TB40-60/kg. | 9/10 |

Eric Thimén | The Thip Residence has a good location away from Ao Nang it s about 5-6 km on a bus in to Ao Nang. We really liked the hotel and the owner s and the staff. They had really good food in their own resturant.

Rochelle Pereira | Perfect hotel. Thip Residence exceeded our expectaions in every aspect. The rooms were big, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The Mini bar was adequately stocked and was very cheap (only 40 Bhat for a can of beer). The rooms are tastefully done (Kohler bathroom fittings, soft lighting, balcony, flatscreen TV etc) and worth more than what you are paying for. Ju, the hotel manager and her staff went beyond their way to help us and make us feel at home. The Jasmine Rice, in house hotel was were we enjoyed our meals the most, more than the other hotels at Ao Nang. Excellent breakfast menu options. Would definetely stay at Thip Residence when we next visit Krabi. | 8.8/10 |
